Have you ever been Farmer Fran? If so, what did you think of it?

Not intending to be negative but it looks like it has the potential to be a cluster fk. Could be cool too. But it won't be cool in August. I'm close enough to go but not into huge crowds.

No, not to Mustang Week but yes to the area and the tracks in Charlotte. I do not think it will be more of a cluster than Myrte IMHO. I was just perplexed by why in the hell Myrtle would give up the $$$ (which they estimate to be in the 10s of millions) but I have no dog in the fight.

Just found it interesting they moved it after all those years.

It was 100% political. The Mayor of the City of Myrtle Beach forced the show out of the convention center a few years ago. The current folks running the event just got tired of all the BS and decided to go somewhere where they were wanted. And the people and businesses in MB get totally screwed over. I’ll miss having the show minutes from my home but it gives me another reason to visit friends in Charlotte.

I can tell you that the Mustang week is a metric sh$t ton more calm and orderly than either "bike" week at Myrtle....Heck they even have a Jeep week down there...I find it odd and hypocritical of them for the reasons they say why they are giving it up...

Charlotte is absolutely a much better location, plus it's closer to me so might actually go. August is awfully hot, though.
