Hi
I would like to buy a GT. but as a senior citizen, i need parking assistance. Is it true that there are no front parking sendors on this car? If so, should we expect to see front sensors on the GT in the near term. Thanks

For the garage, get a bump stop for the tire.

For parking spaces, line up the curb with the bottom of the side view mirror, and pull up a little more so the curb is about 3 inches back from the bottom of the side view mirror if you sight it along the top of your door.

or get a sensor....lol

I tried a bump stop, but the pressure on it dug a hole in the carpet.
Now it's a tennis ball hanging from the ceiling. When the A pillar touches it, I'm golden.

Carpet? You park your car in the living room?
No we're just rich.
Seriously though, garage carpet is quite common here. It's a heavy duty synthetic that can handle wear from driving on it. In fact, a lot of people carpet the garage and use it as a play area or games room for their kids and park their cars outside.
If I had rugrats they would been outside and the cars indoors.

Ok thanks folks. I had a Stinger with 360 degree camera. It was fantastic. That Ford is producing a performance car in 2025 without front sensors is surprising to me.
Slip,
You are not the only one surprised by no parking sensors in front or a forward-facing camera. I do the tennis ball trick and have been doing it since I bought my house 32 years ago. Another trick, at least for parallel parking, is to set one of the driver presets to lower both outside mirrors. I set #3 so one touch and they lower. After I park, one touch and they are back to normal. Not my original idea but greatly used. It won't help with objects in front, but your wheels will love it! Glenn

Starship, I hear it's hell to be poor. Just kidding!!!!! Please don't flame me!! I'll let this whole forum know when I get rich! No, my garage isn't carpeted. Never will be, rich or poor.

Always back in when parking
I usually do in parking lots and not anywhere near another car. Sometimes you have to park with curbs, so I like setting the mirrors to lower. Glenn

Soon after buying my 18 I had a front camera installed. That was supplied and fitted by Brisbane company Advanced Ice. It is activated by pushing a steering wheel button and displays on the oem sync screen. In 7 years I am yet to hit anything.
Apparantley they do not do one for the S650 but I bet someone else does.
