Mishimoto is now taking orders for intercooler kits for 2024 + Ecoboost. Is anyone planning on such an upgrade?

I do own one, and I wouldn't buy it until I knew a few real-world details. Larger intercoolers can be a welcomed addition if you're racing and/or live in the desert SW where temps get about 90° or so. The trade off is the larger volume adds some turbo lag. In a stock 2024 Eco-Boost the turbo lag is almost non existent until the ambient gets above 85° ± depending on other factors like heat sink. If you were racing in a similar ambient, then go for it, as lag typically isn't going to be noticed, but the lower peak power certainly will be. Lastly, the price seems a bit high to me. I paid a bit less than $800 for a custom one for my 2019 Ranger.

I've not long picked up an EcoBoost and it's something I'm curious to watch. I live in the DFW area where it's routinely that warm, but on my commute I don't expect to see anything untoward. My last EcoBoost Ford (absolutely wasn't a high performance model) but had remarkably stable intake temperatures compared with other turbocharged cars I've owned.
