Hey All - Just seeing this thread! That is my car that Velgen has pictured; thanks for the kind words. Happy to address a few questions. Let me know if I can provide any additional insight!

Car is stock suspension in these photos. Since I was at Mustang Week for these shoots, I do have a couple items in the trunk. However, the 315/35ZR20s are deceptively tall. The factory Handling Pack 315/30ZR19 tires are only 26.4" tall where the 315/35ZR20s are 28.7" tall. That fills in a TON of gap.

Trunk is dead empty in this photo.

I will also note that factory springs on this car are the Handling Pack springs, which are currently the lowest factory springs the S650 Mustang has. Compared to a base GT for example, a bone stock Dark Horse Handling Pack will sit quite a bit lower than the base GT, wheel/tire size difference aside.

I would not recommend running this aggressive of an offset on a car any lower than this unless you plan to run a lot more camber up front. Current alignment is -1.9 deg F / -1.5 deg R with no rubbing as it sits, but we're pretty maxed out. If you do plan to lower your car but want these wheels, that's the best part about forged - you can get the same style and create a custom offset for your needs.

I was previously lowered on Steeda Dual Rates and running Velgen's standard VF10 20x10 F / 20x11R setup and the fitment was great with that combo.

As for the brakes, they're Baer Eradispeed+ Slotted Rotors (Front/Rear) all the way around. I do track the car and generate quite a bit of heat with the G-LOC pads, so you can see I've burnt some of the coating off the hats up front; other than that they've been a solid add to the car.

What tire/wheel combination do you use for track days?

Factory Handling Pack wheels! I rolled through the OE Pirellis after 3 track days and just installed Hoosier Track Attack Pros (305/30 F / 315/30 R). Will be putting them to use for the first time on track at the end of the month!

The tread is much wider on those - it looks like wider than the wheel width.

I would be very much interested in your opinion of how they compare to the Trofeos, and more especially so if you have lap times to compare.

Update: Weird. So I go to Tire Rack to look up the tread width. The fronts are indeed wider than the Trofeo RS at 10.2" (compared to the original 9.8") but the rears are also 10.2", the same as the front and narrower than the Pirelli Trofeo RS at 10.4"

Tire companies are so weird with their sizing. On the originals, the fronts are actually one tenth of an inch taller than the rears.

Anyway, I am eager to see how they do.
