Has anyone participated in the Charlotte Mustang Unleashed Driving event that comes with a new '24 or '25 Mustang? If so, what did you think of it and would you do it again? I'm just thinking about doing one, if I can fit it in.

To me, the positives would be general learning, making friends (socializing), and learning more about how my Mustang might perform off and on public roads. Any negatives about the experience anyone has had?

Thanks, FD

I did it and had a great time! Learned a lot about road course driving in a short time, and when the instructor took me for a lap at the end of the day realized that I wasn't even close to getting the full performance out of the Mustang. It's worth it in my opinion.

I plan to go back for the 2 day road course training.

I went in Charlotte. I was initially going to cancel because of a busy work load, but I'm glad I didn't.

Like @JimC, I found the instructor lap to be eye opening, I wish I could have done that at the start.

Not only would I go again, I would consider one of their 2 day classes, but the pricetag is fairly steep.

My wife and I went this past June and it was a great experience. Learned a lot about the limits of the car. My wife was kinda unsure at first but at the end of the day she asked if we could come back and do the two day road course session. Well worth doing in our opinion.

I will be there the first week of September for the road course and will comment back. I've heard nothing but good about it.

Went in July. Did the road course and it was an amazing experience! I thought I was pretty good until I got in the passenger seat with the instructor. Its eye opening to see the capabilities of the cars Ford built us. All those Mustang crash videos are operator error. Go if you can. I’d go again tomorrow if I could.

I actually attended the Road Course version of the Mustang Unleashed program last week (8/13).

If you can work one of the available event dates into your schedule, I would absolutely recommend it. The instructors were fantastic to work with and you will most certainly walk away with more confidence behind the wheel of whatever Mustang trim you've purchased.

Also, hitting ~120 miles an hour on that Roval bank is an experience that I will likely never forget.

Did it in July, once in a lifetime experience. 140 with the instructor - our ponies can take more and do more than you would ever think. The braking power that the instructor demonstrated combined with the acceleration, totally incredible. To hear the sound bouncing off the wall while you are driving is incredible. If I could afford it, I would go back and do the drag course but I have an NHRA track 20 minutes from home that does Friday night grudge matches so the road course "roval" was the way to go for me.

My wife and I just completed the Unleashed course this past Tuesday. We traveled from Oregon and man, well worth the trip. The auto cross course lets you drive the GT 7-8 times through a timed slalom course (if you have a guest, 4 for you and 3-4 for the guest) and it’s a blast. The emergency lane change and accident avoidance was equally challenging and fun, again several runs through that course as well. The poker run was very enjoyable, as was the heritage drive. The instructors are top notch, friendly, informative and very nice. Highly recommend getting to the course if you can. I learned a lot in the day about my Mustang and just a fraction of its capabilities I’m sure. I plan to attend the 2 day Roval course next year. No cons for us.
