I would suggest you go on the ford website and determine what you want in terms of spec. Do it right the first time so you don’t regret the purchase.

I ordered my gt, only issue was the cost lol

PP is a great package, I like the additional oil cooling as the base does run hotter.

I do like the idea of being able to change the exhaust modes.
interesting that the base will ride more comfortably - even with lowering springs?
The PP springs are stiffer for track applications. Magnaride helps some but IMO the base still rides better for a DD. And yes, I drove both.

Makes sense - do you think the $43k is a good price for the base with 301A group and active exhaust?

48K for a used '24 with 14K miles seems high.
You can likely negotiate a new '25 Performance pack to 50K before tax.
These cars often go for 4-8K under MSRP. Even after they stopped advertising "For America" pricing, you can still negotiate similar pricing (and many reports online that negotiable prices were actually lower before the "For America" pricing promo).

What about $43k for the ‘24 base model?

I paid 43.5k for my '24 GT premium 401A with 3k miles and Ford's blue certified extended warranty back in March.

Granted that was a crazy deal. But I think you could do slightly better than 43k for that car.

Extended warranty? This has the balance of the 3/36k and an additional 12/20k with the 5 year 100k powertrain.

I was thinking 40k was more reasonable - plus I have some neg equity on a trade in that I’m going to get beat on.

Sounds like the same thing. I believe I got a little extra on top of the 36k too. Not sure exactly how it's prorated.

I had a '24 GT with auto, no active exhaust or PP. Bored me to tears. Bought a new '25 GT Convertible, 6 speed with active exhaust. I love my new one. Open the exhaust and go thru the gears as I choose. Driving is fun again for this 75 year old who still rides a BMW motorcycle as well.

PP for the extra cooling makes it worth it.

Does the base car have Brembos? I'd go for the auto (unless you hate them) and fit an after market active system.
You can't fit magnaride to a car that doesn't have it (I'm told) and I like all the extra goodies in the GT PP.

On the 300A you can get Brembos, only red. Then they force you to purchase the Nite Pony package for about $1700. A couple thousand+ you can get the PP, and forget the money wasted just to get Brembos. And unless one is racing most of the stuff is not needed.

It has the silver painted Mustang Brembos.
is there an aftermarket active exhaust that will integrate with the cars drive modes?

Would like to here some opinions on the two cars I'm currently considering -

First is a '24 gt with performance pkg but with passive exhaust - 14k miles $ 48k being sold as certified preowned by ford dealer. second is a gt base 6 speed with active exhaust - 200 miles - 43k being sold as certified preowned by same ford dealer.

I have no problem with the standard 6 speed since I grew up driving several. My concern with the auto is the passive exhaust. I know I can change out the exhaust, but would like
the option of quiet mode the the active exhaust provides in order to stay cool with the neighbors.
I've driven the 6 speed, but haven't had a chance to test drive the auto.

Let me know what you guys think- thanks!
Neither one. The 14K mile car has had the shit driven out of it, fair to assume that, both cars are priced too high and "certified pre-owned" doesn't mean anything but what the dealer wants it to mean I don't care what anybody says. If I were spending that much money, I would buy a new one after I put on my negotiating hat. They dam sure came off the price on my car besides the Ford employee discount I got. Are they still offering the employee discount.....of course they are because cars aren't selling.

The key word is negotiate and get what you really want with a real warranty. Don't let other people put you in a box. My 3 cents.
