I did the same to mine last week also, but I got my badges through ebay - cost me about $50AUD for the pair. The change-over process was very similar to your video except I used Carpro Tar-X tar and adhesive remover - I sprayed a little around the badges before I used the fishing line to soften the adhesive, and then some more with a plastic scraper blade to remove the residue from the panel.
I also got the black "GT" badge for the boot (trunk...😉) but I haven't changed that one over yet.

I looked at the black pony badge for the grille, but it was about $250US, so I bought a can of Black Gloss Plastidip from Repco and painted it myself - it was fiddly to get off and back on again, but it was easier than trying to mask around it...

I am looking at going with the bronze badges as I want to get bronze wheels once the Pirelli's are done, I will remove the stock rims and replace them with new rims and Michelin P4s. VB50GT can you remove the pony on the front bar without removing the entire bumper bar?. I am still not fully convinced about bronze on metalic grabber blue, still in the research phase, but all black is what everybody is doing, and I like to have something different.

I was toying with going bronze too - Koya do a colour called US Burnt Bronze and I reckon it would look great on the Vapour Blue, but in the end I played it safe and went with a titanium gray, similar to the OEM wheels.

You can get the pony badge off without taking the whole bumper off - I took off the cover over the radiator and reached in through the back of the grille. There are 4 small screws on the back of the badge. The biggest challenge was getting them back on - I dropped the last one and have no idea where it went, so my tip would be to put a towel or drop sheet on the bottom behind the grille to catch one if you do drop it.

After a two year wait, today was the day! :like:

First time Mustang owner, and only the second time I've driven a Mustang, and that was home.

My garage is probably like yours, super tight.
Are these clark rubber ones serving your Mustang well ? Not black rubber marks on car ??
They are more of a soft foam rather than rubber, so they have a little give to them. If you flung the door with vigour you would still inflict damage, so care is still needed. However, they reduce the chance of taking paint off.

Mixed emotions about posting this, considering so many people in the world are suffering right now because of various dictators, despots and screwed up ideologies....

But, Happy Birthday Mustang.

Assembly offline was 1 year ago today.

For something that was manufactured 12 months ago, I swear it still has remnants of that "new car smell" inside.

Being a special day (actually, that's bullshit, this has been long overdue anyway), it's time for a wash.

I think I'm starting to develop a washing routine that works for me.

After vacuuming inside...

I go over the windscreen with P&S clarity creme.
I'm doing this before the initial rinse because of the residue it leaves behind on the scuttle panel.

Then
• NV purge on the wheels & rotors
• rinse
• brake buster wheels & tyres
• rinse wheels

• rinse rest of vehicle
• foam
• contact wash
• rinse
• blow dry
• finish off, towel by hand

• hood up, trunk up, wipe down
• doors open, wipe down scuff panels etc

Then the exterior trim with Reload 2.0

Today we got our first treatment of Collinite No 845, followed by a topper of Bead Maker.
Nice gloss! :like:

Then exterior glass with Invisible Glass.

Inside we go, a wipe over with P&S Swift, and interior glass with IG.

Or something like that.

I can confirm that waxing is a 3-stubby job.

It was a freezing (!) QLD winter day here (18°) today and it was a battle to keep the 845 in a liquid state.
Multiple dunkings in hot water required.

And perfectly timed, this big box turned up from the USA via FedEx whilst I was waxing.

It's been 12 months, but you'll soon be as-it-should-have-been.

Let me say I hate unboxing videos.

Here's an unboxing video!
