Hell Cat don't have nothing for it. Bringing it home from the dealer 2 hours old and 13 miles on the clock. I dust one twice he watched an awful lot of Dark Horse tails pulling away on the interstate. They are not a problem, and they're not what people make them out to be. SS 396 Chevelles , SS 396 Camaros, and the Mach 1 original used to run away from them in the 1/4 back in the day. Don't believe in Mopar. I'm talking from and with experience.

Hey guys, going to be getting a whipple soon. Oil pump gears as well as CS.

On fence with stage 1 or 2. I know stage 1 has the warranty. But how has the process with whipple been to actually get them to honour claims made for the warranty? I know stage 2 makes more power and it’s not covered unfortunately. I want this car to live long. I don’t drive stupid and I baby the car. I’d hate to get stage 1 wishing I got the 2 only to have an issue that whipple doesn’t cover with the warranty.
cheers
I got the stage 2 120mm throttle body, open air boxes, long tube kooks cattless headers double h pip and had a buddy put it on and he was pretty thorough and make sure it was done right. I just go stage two, but that’s me.

I've been looking at the Roush Phase 2 kits. Seeing the "launch edition" kits being sold for a few thousand $$ more than the "regular" ones. I heard that this was because only a few of the "Launch Edition" were made, but haven't been able to confirm. Anyone else know about this?

Where are you seeing this? Link to them and someone can tell you the difference, they shouldn't cost any more. I mean it is the kit, they don't make a non-launch edition, unless you're asking about the hot rod kids that aren't complete.

Ok, here's one link to it. The "launch edition" has a laser etched signature and I was told they may have made only a smaller number of them. This site lists it for $11k. Most sites I've seen list the NON "Launch edition" for about $9k.

Could be just that vendors pricing. I remember them being under $10k. But like you said they only made 100 so who knows.

Oh so they DID only make 100 of them? That's what I've been trying to confirm. Pricing differences could make some sense with that being the case...

Ok… my 2 cents.
Get the cats off the car, either headers or deletes.
Go stage 2, don’t waste money/time with stage 1, upgrading later is crazy expensive

Don’t bother with OPGs, huge waste of time and money.

Don’t worry about warranty… you just have to get it out of your mind, if you eat a piston, put an aluminator in it, if you smoke a 10r80, get it rebuilt/beefed
It will probably snap a driver side axle minimum, either plug a gt350 in or plan on ford racing sticks..

you just need to be prepared to throw some “oh shit money” around

Making current decisions based on imaginary future outcomes is crazy… worrying about whipple warranty claims and who pays what etc… nope… huge waste of time and thought power.

Catless. So do the two of you live where there is no emissions testing?

Wouldn't this cause a check engine light warning on the dashboard? If so, did you just drive around with a check engine light on?
