I was impressed so far with what I saw at Titan. They really seem like they are Mustang enthusiasts. Saw more Mustangs than Rangers yesterday which was surprising.

I wish I had access to a dealer like that. Being in a rural area, my dealer pretty much only sells and services Ranger's, a few Everest's, and some more Ranger's. A Mustang is like some sort of exotic hand-built unicorn that bamboozles the service staff.

Serious question, did you have the oil changed?

Those Velgen VF5's on the top rung have me VERY intrigued.

... They also updated the software to include a fix for the "keep your hands on the wheel" lane keep assist message that has everyone just turning lane keep assist off when they get in the car. This one is a little mixed. Its way better than it was before, but I still got the message twice on my way back home. Big improvement yes, perfect fix, unfortunately no. I'll still be double tapping that button twice on the wheel to disable lane keep assist as part of my startup routine I reckon.

I spoke to the foreman at my local dealer when I had the POM service done (a month or so ago) and he told me they had a software update for this issue on Rangers etc but hadn't seen it for Mustang at that stage.
He did say that it didn't change the way it recognised the "hands on the wheel", but it reduced the frequency of big brother checking if we did actually have our hands on the wheel, so it should reduce the number of errors, but will not eliminate them - seems to correlate with what you've noticed...

I do LOVE my stock Dark Horse wheels. If I ever change them, it would be to go wider. I just love a wide stance. Probably do a 275 in the front and a 305 in the rear if I can. But this is low on my priority list. Loving the car just like it is at the moment.

They didn't change the oil. My car barely has a 1000km on it now. The tech I spoke to said to leave it in a little longer, maybe another 1000km to make sure everything is broken in before going full synthetic. Lots of different opinions on this I know. I'll probably do it soon, and wont go over 2000km without it. But then again I've seen people stick with the factory shipped oil for 5000-10000km and have no issues. I would like the peace of mind knowing it was done though.

It’s not recommended by Ford, but many owners like to give their new car an early change around 3,000 miles. Some like to do it right after the break-in period at 1,000 miles, others opt for between 300-600 miles, while some even insist on doing it right after they drive off the dealership lot. The reasoning behind this is that the oil that comes in the vehicle from the factory is not high-quality and contains all kinds of gunk, junk, and metal scrapings from the assembly process. While this used to be a concern with older vehicles, modern manufacturing and machining have really eliminated the need to swap out that oil ASAP. Though it’s not required, there’s no harm in doing the oil change early if you want and it does offer just a bit more peace of mind. We say it’s worth doing for a performance vehicle like the Mustang, but you’ll be just fine if you stick to your scheduled maintenance intervals and using quality oil.

Steve, can you do everyone a massive favor and see on your service report if the software update for the keep your hands on the steering wheel has an operation reference number, and tell us what that is?

The invoice will have three columns per service item; Labour, Operation, and Description.

Spoke to them last Friday and they said it will be emailed to me once they process everything on their end. I'll follow up again this coming week if it doesnt come through soon. I'll email this image to my dealer and see what the situation is.
If it can be done for no charge, and they don't dent my car again whilst it's there, I'll get them to do it prior to the 12 month service, due in 4+ months.

6000km and no issues, but there was a wet oil stain on bottom tray after POM, assuming they did drop, I did ask but not certain, everything else on the list was done other than bonnet adjustment, but all I got was confirmation that they did POM, no other details.......oil level on full on dipstick - what a pain to check though (pop out, twist, lift, bend, lift, twist - try not to get oil over cover and strut brace). I have been lazy, and need to get catch system and install, but no tickety ticks or smoke from exhaust on start up yet......but haven't beaten down on a track day yet either.

Just realized I never updated this thread with my Purfit covers.

Up to very recently I had a Ryobi 18v blower that I used to dry the cars. This worked, but its very awkward to maneuver because its quite long and doesn't have a rubber tip so you have to be very careful to not hit the paint. This Ryobi was rated at 84CFM.

I took the opportunity to do an upgrade when I saw a good EOFY deal on an EGO 765 blower kit. Typically around $930 in kit form which gives you the blower and two 5.0Ah batteries with a rapid charger. Because of the EOFY sales I managed to save $200 on that price which I thought was very reasonable. Going from 84CFM to 765CFM is going to be amazing. Looking forward to the next wash!

I also got the EGO short stubby nozzle with rubber tip

They were ridiculously easy to fit - took longer to get all the stones out of the gap than it did to fit the covers. They fitted perfectly.
