I've been selected to purchase one of the limited production Brittany Blue 60th Anniversary edition car,
Looking for other people's thoughts on the possibility of it being a modern collectors car or not??

Within the next 10 years, highly doubtful. After that who knows.

Here are some recent 50th anniversary cars for sale. Much rarer than the BB 60th anniversary cars. Pricing is decent but certainly not in the collectable category. Unbelievably these are now 10 year old cars.

Thanks, they are aiming to produce 250 out of the 1965 being offered, the VIP rep for it said that if they don't reach that number by the start of production in 2 weeks, the selection process is going to stop, which will lower the total number produced, I'm curious as to why they haven't been all accounted for yet??

Maybe in 40 years....maybe ....most likely will be worth marginally more then a normal GT ...my advice would be to drive it/ enjoy it and not worry about it.....

Typically only the "high performance" versions are the ones that are the most collectable- this is most evident when you look at the cars from the past-

Terminators - still desired today
35th anniversary Mustang- most people probably dont remember they even made one (was also limited production)

Going back further - same thing- people desire the Shelbys/Boss/Mach 1 cars- some of special edition cars like the Twister are worth marginally more then a normal Mustang but thats about it

If I had to choose what I think will be the most collectable S650- as of right now - Dark Horse / manual transmission/ fully loaded Recaro Carbon Fiber wheel car bonus for Ember color

Thanks, that's a very good point, I guess I'm more hung up on the sentimental aspect of it, for one I was born in 65', and I use to have an original 65' 2+2 that was a similar blue, my local dealer already committed to selling it at the code name of Dealer Invoice which will reduce the cost by $3,100. Still on the fence, but sentiment usually wins out in the end!

It is a GT Premium that's spec'ed out nicely, wish it had Magnaride. That being said there is a sentimental value for me, at the end of the day, what wins out?

Sentiment. That’s what it’s all about. Buy it, drive it, love it. What else is there? 👍

They can't fulfill all 250 because most of the people who entered it all have thoughts like the people who commented on this. You never know what car can turn into a collectors idea. I say get it like I am and enjoy it like I will.

you should definitely buy it but buy it to enjoy it… don’t think of it as any kind of investment…

My intention is I'm going to, the fact that it has special features only alloted to the Brittany Blue with the special grill, smoked headlights and the fact that there will only be 250 or less is significant, along with the sentimental value for myself!

Treat it to full PPF and enjoy....who knows what the future holds - fortunate enough to have an Ember DH in manual - it is fully wrapped, but I didn't buy to keep as a garage queen, already trying to line up the first track day - in Australia, there are only 1000 Dark horses coming, of that, I think there are only 200 of the Blue Ember, and 70 of those with a tremec.

Congrats on the purchase.

Yep- there are less then 40 Ford Performance Blue 350Rs with white stripes and the Carbon Fiber dash (only about 50 total Performance Blue/ white stripe with any dash) - this is over all years of production -

I have 15K miles on my car so far ......I drive it.....

If my kids get 40% less for it when Im dead because of all the miles....not really my problem lol they will live.....
