Update.. So I purchased another pair of prescription polarized sunglasses and like magic I no longer have the annoying glare. My suspicion is that my original pair of glasses were either not polarized or poorly manufactured.. I'm a happy camper.

Glad it worked for you! I have been boating most of my life and wearing polarized lenses is the second thing you learn. The first is don't buy boats! I utterly failed at that one. Glenn

It's funny, because the other day around noon I was driving around and noticed a glare on my windshield. I realized I didnt have my sunglasses on and immediately thought of this thread lol. Glad you got it sorted. 👍🏻

Since I had my cataract surgery it is almost impossible for me to go outdoors without polarized lenses. Glenn

I noticed the glare first thing when test driving the car. I put 50% on the windshield and the glare is basically gone or if there is its so small that its hard to even notice it.

I've tried looking for prescribed polarized sunglasses but my prescription is so high that the ones I CAN use don't look remotely decent

Warby Parker has some very nice frames. I don't use prescription sunglass lenses, not that I don't need them, but I can get nice wraparound lenses that cover the sides as well as the front. They fit over my prescription glasses. They are one-piece lenses, so I don't have to contend with a seam/gap at the corners. I started using these glasses nearly 20 years ago for fishing. After my cataract surgery, I have had to wear them almost 100% of the time outdoors. They cost $20 at Walgreens, take quite a hard beating, and if I lose them or break them, I won't lose any sleep over it. I have two pairs for working around the house and a pair in each car. Glenn
