Mustang GT 2024 MY24.5
Morning all. I am new to the group and have only had my Mustang MY24.5 GT for a week and have not stopped smiling.
I was almost ready to pull the trigger and purchase some items from Form Lighting in the USA to add to the beasty look and thought I'd better look around to see if others have done the same thing.
I have found virtually nothing and after watching all of ALMs videos realised that he's not added any, so that has led me here as I was looking for ways to ask if there were compatibility issues. I've emailed Form Lighting but not receieved a reply yet.

I am expecting my Rokbokz to arrive in the next few days so I was going to see if I can see the wire loom for the side reflectors but I suspect these are not added in the factory for export models. I assume the same for the rear reflectors.

Has anyone else (that knows what they are doing more than myself) looked for the wire looms?

Cheers
Jeff

Welcome Jeff :like:

The side marker lights on our Aussie-spec cars don't illuminate.
I haven't personally investigated whether the wiring exists because this mod has never interested me.

I'd be be asking your SA transport authority if they are actually legal to retrofit to this car.
Can't see why not, as you need to fit side lights associated with some vehicle GVM upgrades (thinking larger 4WDs here), but you never know.

Perhaps someone else has has popped out the rear side reflectors for a look see.

Autobarn really need to update their marketing media.

An S550 in 2026?
Really? :giggle:

BREAKING NEWS: Darkhorse spotted!
First DH spotted in the wild was around September 2024 on Mt Coot-tha, second was N1T3RE's at our August meet up, and the third today just near my place.
I was behind it, but in my daily driver RAV4... would have flashed him otherwise.
It was either Carbonised Grey or Dark Matter Grey.

It's only the second S650 I've spotted in the last several months.
I'm not sure where the ~4,000+ of them are hiding, but you don't see them that often.
Nice to have an S650 of any flavor, and what appears to be a rare car.

I was always second guessing my choice of Oxford White, with white being a common, unexciting and fairly boring "colour" with cars in general.

However I saw my second only OW S650 last Saturday at the Caneland shopping center when working up in Mackay last weekend.

Around 5,500 S650s have been sold in Australia (1,465 in 2024, 4052 in 2025), but you'd be hard pressed to see another S650 of any colour on any given day.

It's nice to have a car that still turns heads, and isn't that common.

When I spoke to my dealer several weeks ago about an Everest Tremor, expressing my concern over the NVES and pushing the prices up into the stupid category, he said the V8s were being hit really hard sales wise.

Penalising V8 or diesel vehicles and coercing consumers in to tax-payer subsidised Chinese made EVs is not "choice".

With their shelves now full of mediocre detailing products, the green & red shed will, no doubt, soon be squeezing out the smaller players in the 4x4 sector with their anti-competitive and bully boy modus operandi.

It's disgraceful how Bunnings was allowed to become such a monopoly. :curse:

Bunnings has never been shy about pushing into new markets, but its latest move could have some interesting implications for the 4X4 world. The hardware giant has announced plans to significantly expand its automotive range, nearly doubling the number of related products available in stores while also launching an online marketplace expected to carry around 30,000 car and vehicle accessories.

I joined the nursery industry in the early 2000's, just as the Bunning's model began to take off. The company I worked for was a small family business that had been operating since the mid-1980's. And here was this multinational arriving in town to sell product they had no knowledge behind. Now, the story was back then that they targeted ex-trade employees to help sell product in a knowledgeable way, but that only lasted a few years.

Initially, Bunning's were simply fighting with price, they'd undercut the market value and took a hit on profit to build a customer base. But the big damage came later, one that most have no idea about. Instead of just undercutting the independents, they went to the suppliers and named their buying prices. It was then on the grower to make that work for them, not the other way around. So, the suppliers had a price for Bunnings and a price for the independents. How is that fair? How does the independent even have a shot at selling a product and making money from it, then pay the running costs.

It was a constant struggle for the independent, one that the customer just doesn't understand when all they see is the price. Quite often, the product in Bunnings was under developed and grown far too quickly, ours was grown properly and better able to adapt to transplant shock. It was then on us to value add, superior customer service, help to the car, design advice, pest and disease assistance........................none of which you got at Bunnings. But again, the customer sees the price first.

About 18-months ago, some home truths were revealed. Bunnings across the country run the plant shop at a loss, and had done since day one. How is that fair for the independent? Our bread and butter was their loss leader? Since then, they have cut the product variety right back, which in some ways returns some power to the independents. I have also been told by former employees that Bunnings staff are actively encouraged not to serve customers in the plant shop, you are on your own, again returning some power to the independent. Some suppliers have stopped playing to the Bunnings model after they were left with millions of plants that were to be delivered into Bunnings stores but were canceled at the last minute. How's that, yep, we will take a million of xyz plant, we need them by xyz date, grower sets down the required volume......................................oh no, wait, cancel that. What happens to all that stock? Compost and a lot of lost money for the grower.

Can you see why this chain store is despised by many? And yet many have no idea the tactics they have taken, how they ran businesses into the ground.

Sorry for the thread hijack. I was in the battle for 20-years. Just one of the reasons I left was because of how much pressure was put on the staff to be "better" than Bunnings, in the end I had nothing left to give.
