Warm up or Start up and Go?

I let mine drop to 1k before I go. Only because shifting from park at high idle isn't smooth. It usually only take 30 seconds or so.

It takes way longer for a car to warm up idling than it does driving. Excessive idling is never good for an engine. Driving it easy until it warms up is a lot more important.

I have always found that starting the car as soon as I sit, then adjust my seat and fasten the belt, the revs have dropped down and the startup light show has ended. Then the camera works and I ease on out. Until the county fixes the potholes on my road, i have no choice but to take it easy until everything has warmed up.
