Pros and Cons of each:

Termi:

Pros

Arguably the best Mustang ever made
Race-prepped beast engine with third-party internals
Smaller, throw-around body style
Less technology to deal with

Cons

Archaic buckboard although could be livable with an s197 seat swap
Needs immediate attention if you plan to romp it (IRS bushing swap, subframe connectors, weld-in diff to fender plate, idler pulley four-pack upgrade)
Current prices are outrageous and getting higher every day
Harder to find parts for with older, less resilient platform

s197 GT500

Pros:

More comfortable, touring-style platform that won't send you to the chiropractor
More structural rigidity for abuse
More attractive retro styling than the Japanese style squared-off New Edge
A medium-mileage good condition won't break the bank
Easier to source parts for since most New Edges have rotted into the ground or sheared themselves apart

Cons

A big brick compared to the fox platform
Factory internals weaker than the third-party bulletproof stuff in the Termi
More tech nonsense to deal with than Termi (KAM, bcm issues etc)

S650 Mustang Termi vs s197 GT500 huh

It's only about 140lb or less difference depending on the year of the GT500

S197 is more aerodynamic and the chassis/ride is a night and day difference
