i have been in this dilemma of black or silver wheels as well, and here's my two cents:
anything but black will pretty much always be better in my opinion, with the exception of non-metal looking colors like putting bright teal wheels on your car. if you don't care all too much of what you get specifically you can get black as everything works on the mustang in black and you really can't go wrong unless you buy something dumb and tasteless. i decided to go on the route of silver because i find silver wheels to look so much better than any other wheel color, but that's just me though.
before i bought my rapid red mustang, i was looking at buying a gr86 specifically in pavement gray, and pretty much every single silver wheel looks perfect in that gray color. although it is not carbonized gray it is pretty close to it so the contrast between the wheel and body colors shouldnt be much different when comparing carbonized gray and pavement gray.

I have my eyes set on the Vossen HFX-1s, which have a nice RTR on their website that looks amazing with those wheels, but if you are having trouble fitting wheels on take a picture of your car and simply ask google gemini to put different kinds of wheels on it, that should help you plenty.
