Can someone please take a photo through your rearview mirror? I put tint and can't remember what it was like before tinting. I am considering removing the tint but want to make sure it's much better before I remove the tint.

I think I have 35% Xpel ceramic tint. Was finally able to snap a pic for you. Here is my reflection which doesn’t seem terrible.

Have the same Xpel 35% and it looks similar to yours but it's driving me crazy. It's even hazy during the day that's why I'm considering removing it.

Also it doesn't look bad looking through the rear window instead of the rearview mirror. I'm thinking maybe it's the fact that adding 35% to the already 70% factory tint, plus the dimmed rearview mirror (which apparently can't be turned off) makes things very dark and hard to see.

I just took the tint off my 350- was super dark - as it sits in the garage all day dont have to worry about keeping cool and I do like that its do much brighter inside the car - much clearer view out the windows

If I drove my car everyday and it sat outside- I would have kept the tint

Keep in mind Im old and I need all the help seeing I can lol

I'm also on the old side so that's why it's bothering me so much. I love the look of the tinted car but not being able to clearly see at night is a killer for me.

I'm with ya, Upacurb. Tint during the day, is one thing, but at night? Living in the Northeast, has many challenges for night driving and I won't even take my Stang out in bad weather. Glenn

I was close to spending the $450 to get the sides and rear tinted. However, I got a chance to sit in a GT with tinting added before delivery to the end buyer. As a result, I'm sympathetic. Oh, and I'm saving the monies too!

yup I regret tinting my windows. I wish I could've seen it before spending $500!

You are not going fast enough if you have to worry what's behind you

All if my rides have been tinted going back 25 years. I guess I am used to it and have no issue

Interesting. It amazes me that some people aren't bothered by the light refraction as shown in my photos.

I think the glare is always there. The reason it now bothers you is because the tint now allows you to stare right into the bright light and over analysis it in your mind.
Without the tint you would glance and look away.
I was driving my work truck the other night (no tint) and I thought about this thread. I looked at some headlights , and saw the same thing in your pics. I just don't normally stare into bright lights , so it's not something I would normally log into memory or dwell on.

Food for thought.

I'm also worried about this, where I remove the tint and it's the same thing. That's why I was hoping that a few people can take photos of their untinted Mustangs so I can compare. Or I'm going to go down to a Ford dealership and test drive a Mustang lol.

If you did your first tinting 25 years ago, it won't be long before you do have problems because of it. 😁 Glenn
