If I go with the J&L on the driver side, do I need to remove it when bringing it in for dealership service? I understand that even if I went with the FP and installed myself it could void warranty.

Can't see your warranty getting voided over a catch can
Agree. Keep proof you're keeping the car well maintained with good clean oil and you'll be fine. Whether you go with Ford or a 3rd party separator, your warranty will remain intact.

Separator/s are one of the easiest installs out there. I didn't even take off my strut brace or engine cover. I just popped it up a little bit in front and wiggled things where I needed them to be. The hoses have simple, quick disconnects that pop off and go back on in 5 seconds. 👍
