Did a trip from Perth to Dunsborough today (about 300km). Not that I care about fuel consumption in this car but I was rather surprised at how well it did.

Surprising hey. Its mostly flat freeway between Perth and Dunsborough with speed limits between 100-110 km/h.

Came back to Perth on Sunday. Trip for the weekend with some local driving around Dunsborough and caves road which is the closest we get to twisty roads, it averaged 9.7L/100km for the entire weekend. About 750km total. I think the reason it did well is because 80% of that is at 100-110km/h in 6th gear which is very tall. Car only does about 2000RPM at those speeds in 6th.

Bloody good going. I doubt I'll ever get under 11 in the land of the long white cloud, and hills and twisty roads, and roads full of 60 tonne trucks, and Miss Daisy's.
