Don't get me wrong, love Steeda, spent thousands of dollars with them over the past 10+ years. But their shipping has gotten a little out of control. Maybe if they were shipping from Cali but Atlanta to Chicago for an envelope, something not right here
Our shipping rates come directly from a trusted carrier rate program that calculates cost using the package’s weight, size, and delivery location.

This is why you’ll see several shipping methods available.

USPS is typically the lowest‑cost option, though their prices have also been climbing with fuel and operational increases.

Again, all moot if you hit the free shipping threshold.

shipping cost: 15$
finally having a working clutch: priceless

(15$ for an envelop is a rip off. the shipping cost from Germany was half of that)

Keeping our instructions online ensures they are easily accessible & if Ford changes something on newer models, we aren't stuck with printed instructions that are now obsolete.

Finally got around to installing the Steeda clutch spring for the S650. Given what I remember from doing this in my S550s, the install was still just as backbreaking, yet oddly just as satisfying once completed--as some in this thread and @Kitulu, the OP in another on the subject, can attest.

When I popped off the OEM assembly, the white cap jettisoned itself into the steering wheel area directly across from the clutch perch. I didn't feel like removing the panels, so used an endoscopic cam to spot where it landed--turned out, right on top of the steering column--ugh. But, I managed that and the install of the Steeda spring with just my hands--no screw drivers, pliers, zip ties, etc. Forgiving the 10 mins it took to find the cap, total time to switch out springs was about 5 mins. But my back feels like it was all f-ing day.

As I had no real problem with the OEM spring, beyond that it operated a bit like a light switch, I can't say one is necessarily better than the other. Not when driving style, technique, etc., are taken into consideration. However, I like, even prefer, the feel of the Steeda spring. Kind of an ironic observation as I hardly feel the spring at all; rather, I seem to "feel" the clutch more. Not sure I'm articulating what I mean that well--but I suspect those who've switched know what I mean.

So, for me, this was a meaningful change that, despite the utter PITA of installing it, I'd likely do again.
