A gas station (such as BP) can still add additives to their gas that meet or exceed "Top Tier" gas standards, they just don't want to pay the money for the stickers to put on their pumps
Sure they can even though they are not a Top Tier gas. If they do, good on them. Stickers don't cost much, certification as Top Tier does and if a business is going to pay for the Top Tier additives, they darn sure are going to let the public know through marketing.

No one touches Shell for their detergents, especially engines like ours. Exxon, 76 and Sunoco are close seconds - then the rest.

From what I can see my city has some of the lowest prices in Canada for 91 octane with Co-op and Petro Canada both hovering around 1.48-1.52/litre (about $4.08/gallon after dollar conversion rate and metric-freedom units) Keep in mind that's around what most other places pay for their 87 octane.... and as some Europeans have already chimed in with their prices. You guys have no idea how good you've got it when it comes to gas prices. Anyways, I'm off to my free Dr.'s appointment! 😁 Win some lose some I guess.
