My Mustang was stuck on built for almost 2 months. Sales person was no help nor was ford customer service. I called the sales manager today and he was able to get answers. My car was destroyed by a hail storm at flat rock plant less than a week after it rolled off the assembly line. Now a new order has been placed as of today

Ugh that’s my biggest fear , my dealer said it was just waiting on a truck

that’s my biggest fear , mine was built July 1st right alone I told my salesperson about that and she was shocked to hear that, she said her manager told her that mine is just waiting on a truck at this point

That’s what I was told for almost two months. Demand they call their ford rep for answers. It was the first week of July.. I hope this isn’t the case for you!

See my post #12, above. Last night, I received the following update:

I picture my car sitting in a big field full of Mustangs with the rotors rusting, the unprotected convertible top and paint exposed to the elements, and UV rays beating down on my "summer only" tires. It may be too cold for the tires by the time the car gets here. I'm hoping Ford is overly pessimistic!

Again, my dealer is only 83 miles from Flat Rock. I can't figure out why it would take over two months to get a vehicle here. You would think that Ford would want the cash flow of delivery and receiving payment for a "built" vehicle.

That is pretty outrageous that the car was ruined, and it took well over a month for them to create a replacement order. Perhaps there are logistical reasons why a new order cannot be jumped to the head of the line, but they should have at least entered the new order right away.

Realistically, I would’ve settled for someone just letting me know so I could stop watching the tracking.
