I ordered my Dark horse on march 29 and my sales guy said they dont have any allocations until closer to 2024 and he then said theres a chance i wont get a dark horse They have a total of 6 dark horse orders and I asked him if I was the first to order he said I was either the first or second the good thing he said is I will be paying msrp. The only good news I’ve heard can some explain how the allocation system works? I ordered from AutoNation Ford in Burleson,TX

They do but it'll be eventually. The dealer I ordered from has five allocations but has only been able to put in for one custom order and two Ford orders which were forced to be base autos. I think it's, unfortunately, going to just be a longgggg waiting game for some. Ford is leaving dealers in the dark about a lot of pertinent info and letting them get all the hate for it.

I believe it was mentioned earlier in the forums that all dealers are to receive at least one allocation for the Darkhorse, with the highest volume dealers getting more. Depending on the amount of allocations that your dealer has and the order/place you have will determine if you have a chance to get one or if you will just have to wait a bit longer to see if they can get more allocations.

Not necessarily, some dealers just don't have all the information or don't get much feedback from Ford. They should have at least one allocation, then again, all depends on what place you are and the reputation that dealership has.

You should be able to get one then, it's just a waiting game at this point. I ordered mine within 10 minutes of the order banks opening, and haven't been scheduled yet, small dealership as well but I know I'm the first one. Just going to have to wait and see what happens in the next several weeks of more DH's being scheduled.

He said it depends how many cars they sell they get allocations and was told it wont be until closer to 2024 i think people who ordered first should get theirs first, first come first served

I'm not sure I am reading your post correctly, but I think this is what you are looking for. Allocations came from cars already sold. Not cars they will sell. If you ordered a DH from a dealer and they don't have allocation, they probably aren't going to get any. I don't think I have heard anything about Ford opening up order / extending more allocations.
