An LLC is for much more than "tax purposes". It is for "LIMITED LIABILITY" - if you get sued for the product and if you have properly set up the LLC then only your investment in the LLC is at risk, not the rest of your assets. If you are running it as a sole proprietor then ALL of your assets are at risk.

Limiting your liability is the biggest reason for creating a LLC.
Correct, and I am aware of all of that. Limiting liability is not the only reason for creating an LLC. There can be tax benefits and they can be significant with proper and thorough accounting. I have owned three LLC's for the past 20 years and own one now. Liability is not a concern to me in what I do in my company. Being set up properly for taxes, reporting, and properly handling revenues and expenses is a concern. This tax and business model has served me well and may serve the OP well after his product produces a significant revenue stream for himself, IF he even wants to be in business for himself.

Meanwhile, the OP may well be getting busy, I hope.

I've created a visor for the premium display screen that reduces glare, enhances the screen contrast, and hides those ugly fingerprint smudges and dust specks that light up like a CSI luminol treated crime scene! It simply attaches by sliding it behind the screen into the gap between the screen and dash.
I'd love to hear any comments, good or bad, and any questions about the visor. I have filed a utility patent on this and have the capacity to mass produce it.

Plans for now are to sell it to local dealerships. The dealers I've show this to are absolutely floored with how this makes the display look. They are excited to get this accessory ASAP as it addresses the issue that has turned away some buyers, which is the bare looking display screen!
I'm considering making this available here on this forum once I figure out 🤔

Yeah, for $1,400!! Someone mentioned that and provided pics and a link. Tbh I didn't like how "puffy" it looked, but ppl are buying it apparently, I'm looking at about $200 or so for mine FWIW 🤷🏼‍♂️

I like Saleen's concept but in each of the photos I've seen, there always seem to be stitching a bit wayward (wavy where you'd thing they should be straight). My wife's dad called that being cattywampus.
