Had a run to mountains with extended family planned for months. The week before I got an oil change and new rears. Firehawks. Fifth set. Ford said Pirelli steers from factory looked really good for 48,000kms. I agreed. We packed up. Headed out. Made it 73kms. Just onto the major 4 lane on a Friday evening. And the front drivers steer lost all pressure in under a minute.
Towed to nearest center between home and our destination. Got a motel. Spent first part of Sat AM looking for any steers anywhere within 200kms as I still had one tow left. We were hoping to install two new steers and carry on to the Rocky Mountains.
but alas. No one had steers. Anywhere. Towed him home to our dealership where steers would arrive next week. Loaded up the half ton. And had to proceed on our last vacation days with the F-150. Boo hiss. Humbling in the pink half ton. Anyways. Got some PS4S on the front now. Not cheap. But all four tires are new and the car is washed and I’m happy.
