clock bushings

is there any point to clocking the bushings if lowering the car <1 inch?

I didn't on my S550 and no issues in 50,000 miles, it changed the angle of the front lower control arm and wore out the ball joint in 20,000. Not sure if this is normal or not, but Steeda makes a lower control arm with a longer ball joint that corrects the issue. https://www.steeda.com/steeda-555-4906-s550-lateral-links-extended-ball-joint
