Cheap HP, full time fan?

I wonder how effective a fan would be, at speed. If I'm already jammin' around the track, the fan spinning might not help all that much.

Ineffective at more that 30-40 mph. In fact, it actually gets in the way at speed, as the fan and shroud block air from moving through the rear face of the radiator and out the hood vents.

Fan and shroud are great for sitting in traffic.

one track-related thread at 6G. If it involves the track and cooling, there's probably something about it there. Could give anyone a lot of ideas and things to consider.
