Tuesday morning, I was unable to move the automatic transmission out of park. I knew that was the function of the interlock so I followed the instructions in the operating manual (which is incorrect, by the way).
Instead of one piece to move to disable the interlock, I had two pieces. I subsequently removed them and wasa able to move the shifter. After inspecting them, I could see the part broke in the middle where it is the thinnest and weakest. Please see photos. Anyone else have this problem?
