Wow, looking at the Ford au website and brochure, it seems there is indeed some good news. We are getting US-style red taillights!
Yup!! and with sequential amber indicators it seems like.

I've also noticed the DH has slightly wider rims than the GT. Hopefully I can fit some wider tyres on mine after I burn through those PZeros.

Yeah the DK has some beefy rims, fronts are 19" x 9.5" and the rears are 19" x 10".

The sequential amber indicators will be awesome!

Morning everyone

can I just check my pricing logic with the forum so I can make sure the dealer isn’t adding a markup when I go into sign the docs

car will be a blue ember DH so it should be

$99,102 base dark horse + $700 paint + $2,750 DH appearance pack

RRP Total not inc lct, stamp duty, dealer delivery = $102,552AUD

Does that look correct for RRP pricing?

Seems about right, to me at least? 🤔

LCT would be $6,645, Stamp & Transfer (VIC) would be, $4,838, making it $110,585 plus dealer delivery fee. My dealer said a DH on road would be ~$112k-$113k on road, so it looks about right!

Feel free to correct if my math isn’t mathing

You need to add 33% LCT to the Options ie 700 + 2750 = 3450 + 33% = 4,588 + 99,102 = 103,690 + ORC

I'm still going ahead with my GT.

Not Overly surprised or upset at the price. It's still a good car for the money. My only reservation is that mine is a daily driver and I tend to put a few miles on them, so that affects the resale value a bit.

Looks like I will have a 2022 Rapid Red GT with about 28,000 km's on it for sale next March.

s550, we currently fit 275/35/20 fronts and 305/30/20 tyres on 20x10 / 20x11 Set of Wheels.
s650, I believe from what we know from USA - you can fit wider tyres front and rear. Regardless, both the DH and GT should be the same fitment. However we will only know for sure once we test and verify it out on our DH and GT once it arrives.

Unfortunately as the Dark Horse is limited and there is a huge demand for it, most dealers will add a higher than usual Dealer Delivery Fee. In this case as the DH is already in LCT Territory - Lets say, Your dealer charges $6,000 "Dealer Delivery" Fee which means the LCT component (If I am not mistaken) will be an additional $1,980 = So the total Dealer Delivery incl LCT will be $7,980.

Am i safe to assume, after the 1000 to aus, there wont be any more releases of the dark horse?
If we go with what Ford Australia has done with previous models such as the BULLITT and Mach1
Once they say the number, thats it and there will not be any more since they have already released that it is limited to 1000 units.

Ouch here is hoping the dealer delivery isn’t $7k…cross finger the dealer is willing to be a bit more realistic on their fees
