The extra calliper is the electronic parking brake (replaces the mini drum brakes inside the rear discs or actuation of the rear brake pads) it has zero function on the drift brake.
It’s most likely the rear bembo doesn’t support electronic actuation as it’s a multipot (4) design.

The drift brake uses the abs controller to apply hydraulic pressure to the rear brakes only through the normal callipers.
The handle acts like an analogue / variable input and not an on / off switch. The harder / faster you pull on the handle the more pressure it applies to the rear brakes. But only when in drift mode. In normal mode it operates the electronic parking brake on or off
