on January 23rd, Ford released recall 24S02, which targets 2011-2019 Ford Explorers, with an estimated 1,881,496 vehicles affected. the recall is about the exterior A-pillar trim that may have been improperly put on when the vehicle was built or repaired, and it can fly off while driving. this recall is in the advance notice stage, where Ford gives out information but parts are not out yet. estimated release date of parts is the later part of 2024
