I saw the date before I posted this. I consider myself an avid 'reader' of this forum yet had not seen quite a few of the details in my link never mind a direct reference. Perhaps it was updated after the fact...
Perhaps it is, GT4 racing will have it and the Mustang which are a bit down the ladder when comparing prices of street cars versions - https://www.gt4-america.com/cars
However, GT3 has a lot of big boys in the mix and the Mustang looks out of place... hence 'Dark Horse' -...
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they chose 'Dark Horse' because of the competition they will face in GT3/Gt4 racing.... Porsche, BMW, Toyota/Acura (NSX), Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Aston Martin, Mercedes etc. Basically fighting against cars that in street-form cost 2x - 4x the price of...
I am not surprised of this news and actually expected it. Ford has been pretty clear with its direction considering all the work done on various petrol-fueled engines across its truck lineup so why would they abandon Mustang.... they essentially have told Chevy and Dodge to 'hold their beer' on...
Recaros - Looks like perforated leather, perhaps heated/cooled now? Notice that there is a white stripe on the seat belt as well.
Color - Is that Ruby Red I see? Interior shot with (to my eyes) exterior has matching door panel fill and seat surfaces going up and over to the seat back. Matching...
I'm going to guess the vents are there and probably not functional except on high end models. Ford said they are going GT3/GT4 racing and airflow thru the wheel wells is key. Look at the just released Porsche 911 GT3 RS, all about airflow, downforce, cooling -

Week long drive, Mustangs only, from Tacoma to Detroit arriving day of the reveal. Will include S650 dressed in camo for at least part of the ride...
I like it, clearly the design inside and out is going to be more angles than curves but doesn't look half-baked to me. Details like the shape of the tweeters, controls on the wiper & directional stalks... even the display message boxes have a similar shape.
Any chance Ford uses aluminum to reduce weight instead of wringing more performance out of current engine offerings ala F150? Or, perhaps increase displacement of the V8 to 5.2 and/or add mild hybrid via inline e-motor instead of going AWD? I'm guessing they won't change much on the current...
