Not necessarily true. I took a Toyota in for some wind noise while it was still under warranty. Several years later they acknowledged the issue and had a fix. Even though my truck was out of warranty, because I had record of it while it was, they repaired it for free. My Mustang had the same...
I have a hard time believing this. But I was playing around with the features. Drag mode, drag lights. They advertise 4.3 seconds, so not sure where these numbers came from. Regular GT, automatic.
my driveway is 1/2 mile long. If I stop and get the mail, I don’t feel I need to put my belt on to travel my driveway that’s not shared by anyone else. Therefore having that disabled is the first thing I do on all my vehicles.
Yeah, I’ll snap a pic when I head out later. If you really want me to blow your mind, Ford has also installed directions for disabling the seatbelt chime in the owners manual. It would appear that they know drivers hate these features and give them the ability to disable this government bullshit.
There’s no replacement for displacement.
5.0 is a monster. EB is peppy, but is almost an entire engine worth of horsepower less. If you just want to look cool driving a car, EB is probably fine. If you want to know you can shred the tires off almost anytime you want, get the coyote!
My GT does not have the auto-stop however I am renting an Ecoboost and it does have it. A quick search of the onscreen menu will permanently disable it.
Some of you may call it something else, but I redneck engineered a cover out of an old license plate. Going to add flex seal tape to seal and color it black.
Dealer is checking for service bulletins. Obviously I don’t expect them to find one, but it’s documented and when/if they come out with one I’ll be in line for the fix.
