Happened to me. I drilled all the way through and added a long bolt. I got all kinds of shit, saying I used an impact etc. As you noticed, it doesn’t take much and if you search, it’s been an issue for years on the SAME bolt.

Normally ran 80mph. Normal mode, interstate. Not bad for almost 500hp.

I used to go through the JC Whitney catalog and figure out ways to save gas. Adding up all of their claims, I figure my car could MAKE 3 mpg. I’d never have to buy gas again!!

So far it’s good. No leaks. I guess when it gets cold I might be able to see more (warm exhaust, cold air) but I don’t notice any leaking from inside.

My car has a foam block in the truck where the spare should be. There’s a spot made for it there.

I did install it. It gave me the sound that I wanted. I was surprised that the end of the H pipe was cut flush and you just butt the H and old exhaust up close and clamp it. I would think it should be flanged to slide into the other like the front to prevent a leak. Time will tell I guess, but...
