You don't have to use the additive with the 3.625 pulley as long as you run minimum 93.....but it is fun to dose it every once in a while! Robvas might be on the right track as dosing it a little at a time. I will be moving on to doing just that as it's getting a little off the hook with...
I use it. I pulleyed down to a 3.625" also running the Stage 2 Whipple. I get it to just under 1/4 tank and put the bottle in when I fill it up with 93 (mix with 10 gallons of fuel). If I remember right it gives the fuel a bump up to 102 octane. Big difference especially with the smaller...
Installed the newly released update for the Standard (non Automatic) cars on Monday. Anyone else installed and gave it a try? I'm in the tundra and a few months away from giving it a go. Supposedly just some motor performance tweaks is all.
Actually the opening isn't from the top as it's sealed to the hood (maybe not perfectly sealed, but pretty close). The air comes in from the front bottom of the cannister, in from the grille. Almost even a ram air kind of thing, but not. It runs the same inlet temps as stock or very close...
Received my Whipple open air box kit (less filters) today. No instructions, but luckily I watched a video from Lethal Performance on the install, pretty straight forward anyways. Passenger side is a bit of a bitch, but about an hour install. No where near the install of a stage 2 Whipple as I...
I can hear a slight whistle at low throttle, like barely cracking the throttle. After that I get a little whine, but very little around 5,000 rpm+. I hear mostly exhaust even on quiet.
Was feeling rowdy today and jumped on it for a typical burnout using no brakes. Dumped the clutch grabbed 2nd then grabbed third, never really gave me any hesitation as i played with the throttle, especially in 3rd, maybe 4 seconds total. Got back and I smelled clutch way more than rubber...
Whipple may have figured this out. The lead for the intercooler pump goes into the abs fuse location. The new whip has pockets for 2 fuses, one for the circulator, one for the abs. Not sure what I was thinking, but he was correct that I never installed the original fuse in the 2nd, bottom...
Had a no start again!!! Frustrating at the very least!! 900 miles, cripes, this is embarrasing! Glad I threw a 10mm is the glovebox to unhook the battery.
No one has said anything....It's all me. I guess I should just leave it as is as I really do like the looks of it. Hopefully I just go on about my business!! LOL Dirty as hell, but it does look bad ass IMHO.
Purchased the RTR Rocker Splitters. They design looks good and they went on pretty easy. I have to admit I'm a bit underwhelmed. It's an add on the the original splitters, so you can see both. My Mustang has the faux carbon fiber on these, the back fascia, and the front original splitter...
I agree no lift won't work after 4th gear. Not sure you would need those in really heavy rpms normally anyways, at least for me. Automatic and manual aren't even on the same page really. The manual is actually manually changing gears, no computer, vacuum, or oil used to shift. You CAN...
Just had this happen to mine. Took it to work, about 10 minutes later I went to take an employee for a rip to have him feel the Whipple and had a Christmas tree on the dash with a no start condtition. I tried multiple times and heard a clicking coming from the center console area. Actually...
