Not sure on convoy as I’m sure each railroad company and transport company have different systems. It’s a matter of finding out what company is transporting your car then doing what you can to see if they have any options for tracking.

All of the discussion I saw prior to any cars being shipped stated “Convoy” on the window sticker meant it was being transported by truck, not rail. Mine is currently traveling on a rail car, even though my window sticker says convoy. My rail car end point is about 2 1/2 hours (by truck) away...

Interesting. If they are going to use a stock photo for a car currently on the lot, they could have at least used one of an actual S650. 😂

My window sticker shows “Convoy”, but it is currently loaded on a train. All the comments I saw were saying if the window sticker says “Convoy”, then it would travel by truck the entire way from plant to dealer, but apparently that is not the case.

Mine is shipping via CSX. They have an automated phone system where you can enter the rail car number and get information on its location.

Update 8/21/23 - Even though my window sticker shows "Convoy" for shipment, the latest information I have been given is that it is currently shipping by rail. Ford customer support gave me the railcar number which I was able to track. It appears to currently still be at the New Boston, MI...

Yesterday, 8/18, Ford chat said my car was in transit with an eta of 9/11-9/17 after the tracker went from built back to order confirmed. The tracker went back to built last night, and this morning it went to shipped on 8/18. Now the tracker shows and eta of 8/24-9/6, so who knows when it will...

I just asked for the order status and they told me it was in transit with that information.

Have you receive an ETA on delivery? I see you're in Florida. Mine supposedly shipped yesterday or today and has an ETA of September 11-17.

They told me 9/11-9/17 for delivery in Georgia. I agree those transport times seem long. My only thought is maybe they have been release to a carrier, but will be sitting in a lot for another few weeks before they actually get loaded onto a truck.

I just chatted with Ford as well. They said mine was in transit also and gave me the company name Precision Vehicle Logistics. The odd thing is the eta is September 11-17. That just seems like a long time (3 1/2 - 4 1/2 weeks)in transit from Michigan to Georgia. Does anyone know if any way to...

I just checked my order a minute ago and the exact same thing happened to mine. It went to built last night, and now it is showing as “Order Confirmed,” although it still has 8/17/23 under “Built.” Sounds like it may just be a glitch with their tracker.

And the stock photos they show for the 2024 Mustang are all S550s. 😂

How did your blend date compare to the build week in the tracker? My "build week" has moved a few times (from August 21, 18, 15) but is currently 8/14.

I went to the Mustang site and selected the comparison of the GT and Dark Horse. Both are listed as Ti-VCT. I see where they are showing the Dark Horse as DOHC in the selector tool, but that is probably just an effort to make it appear different than the GT.

I’ve always understood a DOHC engine to simply refer to an engine with two camshafts located inside the head, which is pretty much a common setup these days. DOHC can have different configurations for fixed or variable valve timing.
