  1. Buyer's remorse

Thatā€˜s certainly cool too. I’ve got a couple of V8 A10s myself and really enjoy them. I’ve decided I’m gonna bone up on paddle shifting in ā€œSā€ position on the selector and see how I like it. One of mine, the Mach 1 A10, has WAY too aggressive of a 3-2 downshift in track mode when braking while...
  2. Buyer's remorse

Life’s too short to agonize over a few grand. Take your medicine now, move on and put it out of your mind. I don’t know your age but if you haven’t yet stepped in bigger piles of poop in your life trust me, you will. At 74 I’m closer to the barn than ever and I don’t regret the mistakes I...
  3. Dark Horse vs Shelby

Be realistic. We all know a Shelby is just that because Ford pays them a licensing fee to paste the brand badge and a snake on well, a Ford. So raise your hand if you actually think that whatever hi-po car Ford builds would bring just as much branded ā€œFordā€ with no ā€œShelbyā€ badge. Short...
  4. Things are VERY Different now...

No need to argue, you’re exactly right. And although I was there and part of that old muscle car era, I’m glad you are right. For the time being anyway, todayā€˜s cars are simply amazing! But for lack of a better way of expressing it, ā€˜60s cars provided an experience so visceral that it can’t be...
  5. Anyone else struggled deciding between EcoBoost and GT for daily driver?

Gregs, I think you’re responding to somebody who doesn’t own a Mustang and likely never has. I’m not sure what his endgame is but I quickly determined that responding to him is a waste of keystrokes.
  6. Anyone else struggled deciding between EcoBoost and GT for daily driver?

ListedGuru, even though I’m clearly in the V8 camp I’m not using this as a passively aggressive way to throw shade on the EB. I’m just being straight up. But in my experience if you’re even having to deliberate between the two you’d be perfectly happy to save money and go with the EB. If mpgs...
  7. Things are VERY Different now...

Yep, everything you say is true to a fault. But nothing compares to the visceral thrill of a strong ā€˜60s muscle car. You didn’t have to worry about where the torque curve kicked in-it was just there. And the sound, vibration and feel of the G-force pinning you back when you kicked in the...
  8. Anyone else struggled deciding between EcoBoost and GT for daily driver?

Couldn't have said it better! Hereā€˜s a keyboard commando who thinks it’s appropriate to offer a scathing opinion on a car he admits he’s never owned, but hey, he’s driven some! There’s no evidence in his sig that he even owns a Mustang of any kind now. Yet he feels compelled to confuse the OP...
  9. Anyone else struggled deciding between EcoBoost and GT for daily driver?

Yeah, both the two that I have currently as well as the couple that I’ve had earlier were just barely drivable. Barely. Just wondering, how many have you had and what specifically made them uhh, ghastly?
  10. Things are VERY Different now...

Not to worry. Iā€˜ll swing by and pick you up in my Mustang. I’ll only be 85!
  11. Anyone else struggled deciding between EcoBoost and GT for daily driver?

Itā€˜s often pointed out that sarcasm isn’t always evident in online postings. Evidently neither is attempted humor. I’m assuming that’s your intent here.
  12. Check out this covertible's wheels

Yeah, this right here. They look great now but in three years?? This concern is why I haven’t yet had my calipers painted.
  13. Start/Stop

Good Lord guys, what’s with all this techno-flexing? Who GAF? Why isn’t it enough to just say ā€œI don’t like it and wish it weren’t on thereā€? Or, ā€œI don’t care and wish I had two!ā€ No need to defend preferences, unless you just get off on public contention. It’s always a losing battle.
  14. Dark Horse breakdown by age bracket.

Wow. It’s one thing to feel that way but it takes well, cojones to let it loose in the digital realm. Hopefully they won’t see this! Iā€˜m 74 too so I get the Mustang love. Kinda brings back the old days (ā€˜60s in my case) like nothing else I’ve driven. I considered Porsches and I do love them but...
  15. Start/Stop

Here you go again. Any person who strongly dislikes A.S.S. is now, in addition to being a redneck, irrational. I just don’t think that name calling thing is working out well for you. Here’s some light reading if you have time: https://www.amazon.com/How-Win-Friends-Influence-People/dp/0671027034
  16. Start/Stop

If I felt compelled to label someone a redneck because a particular automotive feature made him crazy I’m not sure I wouldn’t in fairness have to classify myself similarly, especially if my definition of redneck seemed predicated on narrow minded thinking-as does yours. FWIW the A.S.S. on my...
  17. Lots of gravel and dirt noise while driving

Ahhh, OK, thanks. I had no idea. That might explain why in general they are so hated on the forum. I have P Zero Neros on my 2020 GT and you couldn’t hope for a better tire. Keep them @ 35-36 PSI and you can’t make them misbehave. Push them as hard as you want, on the street anyhow.
  18. Lots of gravel and dirt noise while driving

I thought the P Zeros were all season?
  19. Am I too picky? ….so many flaws on new $70k cars!

Yeah a close inspection revealed several panel gap issues on my first wife. Turns out they could not be fixed…
  20. S650 Coyote V8 Power Band?

Yeah these are good things to remember if you’re the kind of guy who’s trying to impress a friend! I know people like that…
