  1. Whipple driven by goober vs beat up old Viper ACR

I didn't watch the entire video but. Did everyone miss the under hood shot of the Viper where I could clearly see a Nitrous solenoid? I suppose that solenoid could be used for Water/Methanol injection too. My guess is Nitrous. Maybe they mention this somewhere later in the video - It was clearly...
  2. Normal Oil Temperature for 5.0?

The PP oil coolers do make a difference. My GT PP has a FP/Whipple stage 1. At 94* ambient after a few hard pulls oil temps never went higher than 218*.
  3. Any reason not to go with Ford Performance Supercharger?

I'll second this suggestion and say take REALLY good care of him. I self performed my Whipple install approx. 1 month ago and it's an intense job. I had some issues with aligning the heat exchanger that required some minor drilling on the Whipple supplied brackets. No way they were going to fit...
  4. Supercharger and HPDE Track Days

I don't have fist hand experience with a FP Stage 1 Whipple in a road course/track setting yet. If time allows over the next year (maybe later this summer) I may hit VIR to see how my FP Stage 1 Whippled GT PP does (Luckily, I have a free invite to VIR). Although not a huge advantage the PP...
  5. To Spoil, or Not to Spoil...

My opinion - I do not like the look of the S-650 without a spoiler. Has to be a PP or Dark Horse spoiler. One simple addition changes the entire presentation of the car.
  6. VMP Strut Tower Brace & Insulation Tips

Not sure if you've ever heard of or watched the "ShelbyFlyer" channel on YouTube. Tim is an instructor and drives a street legal 800HP 2020 GT500 CFTP. No doubt his car has a great setup and it is a CFTP GT500. I recommend checking his channel out. My point is no way would adding a Whipple ruin...
  7. Air Boxes Closed or Open?!?!

There is something else at play here and it's not closed vs. opened air boxes. The delta between open closed is 1.1 seconds which cannot be achieved by opening the air boxes even if the air entering was the same as closed which is impossible with under hood temps. Something else is causing this...
  8. VMP Strut Tower Brace & Insulation Tips

Some flex is good to allow the part (whatever it may be) to flex/twist etc. slightly under load without deforming. I'm not implying the amount of flex on the VMP STB is okay. Sorry if my statement was misleading. I will say I've driven the car pretty hard (cornering) after the whipple install...
  9. The workhorse. What's your puller?

Crappy (tight space) photos of my retired puller that to be honest never saw much action. My hobbies changed shortly after purchasing this truck new in 2000. Loved the truck and couldn't part with it. Truck has been garaged 99% of it's 25 year life. Rarely driven in the rain. Hasn't seen rain in...
  10. Interior Dash Surround for Mustang

I like the concept. For it to worthy of $1000.00 it would have to be darn near perfect. The example they chose to showcase is far from perfect. Others have stated some of the issues I see which are.... 1. Does not follow the dash line(s) on the side. 2. Needs to be less "plump". 3. Stitching is...
  11. Bought a 2024 GT Premium as my first car (I’m 15 and just getting started in the car world)

Congrats on the new Mustang. My first car was a 66' Mustang with half the power (at best) of what the new Mustang 5.0 has. Even with half the power I easily managed to get myself into trouble on more than one occasion. I'm sure you know the jokes about turning traction control off are jokes...
  12. Spoiler Lifting

I have the P.P. as well and have noticed the same thing. It is not obvious by any means and most people other than the owner would never notice it. Some day I may get a wild hair and do something about it.
  13. Droopy Tip Syndrome.

There are a few factors at play regarding misaligned quad exhaust tips. 1. This condition does exist to some extent on OEM quad tips (even duals). More rare on OEM but it does happen. 2. Aftermarket exhausts tolerances contribute to the issue. Even the best. 3. You have to be willing to go...
  14. Whipple and Resale Value

Whether or not you get any return by adding a Whipple S.C. should not be your deciding factor. The choice should be based on your desire and financial ability to do so. For most the return will be little or possible nothing. If you decide to add a Whipple your investment concerns will...
  15. Whipple or jet ski

My vote is for the Whipple. I finished my self installation approx. 1 week ago. A whole different Mustang awaits you if you choose to Whipple.
  16. Remove Active Grille Shutters?

You'll need to replace the surrounding damaged part. It serves a couple functions that being directing airflow and support. No way around needing to replace this.
  17. Remove Active Grille Shutters?

I cannot help you with the Forscan question but will offer up another potential solution with some caveats (damage wise). Did the accident (deer) only damage the shutters not the housing or surround? If the surround is fine the easiest thing to do is remove the shutters and leave the actuator...
  18. Our S650 HP compared to the C8.

Two very nice cars filling your garage! Adding a Whipple does wonders for the low end torque on the 5.0. With that said the C8 is beast in its own right. I would have no problem parking one in my garage beside my Mustang. I've been a pretty diehard Ford guy for most of my life with the...
  19. VMP Strut Tower Brace & Insulation Tips

A little update after several drives with the Whipple stage 1 and the VMP strut tower brace. I haven't pushed the car as hard cornering as I've done in the past. I did somewhat and it felt planted with no discernable difference at this point. I have no experience without a strut tower & cowl...
  20. Supercharged Decal?

@86pagt - Don't forget to connect your driver side PCV.
