I don't know they answer but that's a really good question. Since it is an electronic brake I'm guessing it can't be used incrementally to slow the car, in the same way my switch activated parking brake is simply an on or off switch.
I haven't driven an S550, but yeah the S650 steering even in Sport mode is a little too numb and detached feeling. Very comfortable to drive but not sporty enough for my liking.
Only into my 7th week of Mustang ownership, but so far no quality issues or failures. My HOPE is that the job 2 Mustangs fixed a lot of the issues with the initial batch. We'll see.
Excellent information. Thanks for testing and posting. Man I don't know that I'll ever have the guts to try this but at least I know it's possible now. I am tempted to try the 2nd-to-3rd test like you mentioned.
Being that you MUST buy the performance package to THEN have the ability to order magneride it is a very expensive proposition. I didn't bother and the car rides just fine to me.
This is a beautiful picture by the way. Man I need to get up to Alberta one of these days. My Canadian excursions have been limited to the Toronto and Windsor areas up to this point.

Sport drive mode will disable it, but I don't think sport steering or exhaust alone will. Custom mode is a great way to drive in normal mode and disable the start/stop at the same time. Like I said, I don't bother hitting the auto start/stop button anymore since I always go to custom mode as...
Auto Start/Stop is one of the options in custom mode (thank you Ford!). I have my drive mode set to normal, steering sport, exhaust sport, traction control on, auto start/stop off, and instrument cluster set to normal. Basically I like the "normal" diving mode most of the time, but prefer...
Just set up your custom mode to have start/stop turned off and as long as you drive that way you won't have to think about it. I don't even manually turn it off since I switch to custom every time I pull out of the parking lot.
