I did get it to the dealer service and they found a hole in the boot up by the outboard clamp. Looks like a manufactor defect. They order a half shaft. I will drive a little since the shaft will be replaced awyway. I hope shaft comes in soon and the dealer doesn't mess up anything else. Im at...

At 500 miles, I pulled off my left rear wheel and found grease all over the inside of the rim, on caliper, and suspenion. I also found a small hole in the outer boot. Called the local dealer and they had me bring it in right away. They confirmed a defective boot and ordered the complete half...

I did read here someone removed them and got check engine light. I don't see how that would effect it except the fuel/air ratio.

I have the S/S system and even with all the parameters meet, it has not shutdown. I can turn it on and off with the switch. Odd.

I only have 600 miles on my GT with the S/S system. It has of yet shutdown at a light even though all the parameters are met. Maybe it needs to be broken in more???

I have 2 dealers with in 35 m8les of my abode. I will contact both and see which one will get me in the soonest. I dont need to drive the car as I have other vehicles.

Well, by how much was on the rim, caliper, and suspenion, I think it may be out of grease. Is the boot filled or just grease around the CV? They dont replace the just the boot? I guess maybe the half shaft comes as a sealed unit. I can see where the hole is and it look like manufacting...

I did the DIYvan thing today. They fit good and cover the opening well. Just try to keep the JBweld off your hands. It's tuff getting the stuff off. I did the right side bare hand but learned my lesson and used gloves on the left one.
