No. Bearings almost never go before piston rings, cylinder walls, or often even head gaskets on many select motors - outside of external factors that prematurely wear them. Overrevving, oil starvation, etc.

Normal wear and tear does not typically cause bearings to go bad before piston rings, cylinder bores, etc.
Obviously if the bearings are bad they could spin or cause low oil pressure. This goes without saying. If you read the entire post, you would not get hung up on this.

I've always felt the old cable operated or mechanical linkage clutch pedals have been worse in many regards.

For what its worth, worn bearings don't typically kill motors unless you've been doing stupid stuff.
9 times out of 10, a worn motor needs a rebuild or overhaul because of piston rings, loss of compression, etc.
I cannot remember the last time I heard a car knocking or needing new bearings...
Driving a RWD in the snow is hardly a problem with good snow tires.
With the older mustangs that have a solid rear, the biggest risk was uneven bumps or off cambered corners/roads that upset the rear suspension. Just one unanticipated bump hitting a single rear wheel could lead to the rear end...
It doesn't even have to rev particularly high so long as its a fun N/A powerband.
I've driven plenty of fun N/A cars that only rev to around 6800 rpm. Low end torque is stupid fun when its a linear powerband.

On dry pavement, in 40 degree weather, you wont have a Porsche magically slide into a curb leaving a parking lot unless you're doing something really stupid. I could care less what the tires are short of racing slicks...
If you floor it, yes, it will break traction at 10 miles an hour, but it will not just slide into a curb without deliberate input. There's still friction to the pavement, it wont just slip slide at that speed.
I can push any rwd car sideways in a parking lot with any normal tires at any...
