I just wanted to make a thread on the current rumors and or predictions, i want to see what everyone else thinks so I’m going to post below kinda what we know and what to expect
500hp coyote it could be more or less but it won’t be 550hp
2.3 Ecoboost I’m sure isn’t going away
I’m sure we got...
First and foremost it’s been common knowledge that the bullitt/mach 1 engines are underrated. They’re making a solid 490-500hp as they sit. My guess is you’ll see the next gen GT use the mach 1 engine or it’s the starting point 500hp would be very nice but i would be very surprised if they got...
Those are fixture checkers for quality control on stamping parts. Flat rock really isn’t doing shit so to say it’s going to Mexico is dumb. Maybe for the export market sure but to leave flat rock without a vehicle gtfo
Ford can’t make a big bore coyote because bore spacing is maxed out at 100mm at the factory level. It would require a new engine or a huge increase in stroke which would result in the engine having the 5.4 piston speed related issues that we saw back in the day. The way forward would be to just...
It wasn’t emissions related ford said they changed there engine hp rating system to be more accurate. I actually read a book on it, it was very Fubar lol. Word at the time was they where trying to help out with insurance cost and also the 93 was seriously underrated at 235hp lol
Screw low end tq lol it’s not a truck
I’d like to see a much better more exotic top end IMO take it too 8k or higher
but it’s probably going to be a meh engine update IMO
A lot of people have forgotten that the coyote originally was slated to only have a 10 year life Span. And that sound clips sound like a coyote with an h pipe IMO. Point being i would be surprised if ford completely dropped the coyote platform. And start over from scratch again, my guess is we...
I seriously doubt ford is going to wait till next year to officially show this next gen car off. I would say fall we will get some sort of revel like we did way back in December 2013 for the s550, then production rollout in summer of 2014/2024. Because otherwise this will be a later 2024 even...
first and foremost after fords increase in security at leaks, his info can’t be validated nor mine or anyone else’s period. Let’s just this next gEN car is going to be interesting, because either they’re going to continue with the original plans or be cheap
also the program wasn’t canceled it...
ford also has been going hardcore on any leaks to the point they’ll terminate an employee if they find out you took a pic and it leached
the silver lining is most of the leaks have come from outside workers hahaha
When it comes to test cars i always tell people to ignore the big details because it’s either there because it’s what they had around or it’s there to throw people off
aka pay attention to the small stuff
I wouldn’t be surprised if they took the bullitt/mach 1 coyote variant. Made some internal changes 480-500hp and call it the gEN 4 engine
ford has done this before with the 2010 mustang GT and the same in 2005 where the old mach 1 was internal benchmark for the new 3 valve engine
what killed the 50th anniversary edition not only was the cheaper package damn near the same thing. They Also wasted an opportunity to put a few more hp behind it, aka it was a wet goose when they should of pulled a bullitt or mach 1 trick
just my opinion
It’s going to be an evolution of the s550, and not a whole redo like we got from s197 to s550. I think it looks fine but the powertrains are the real question
