Texted the service manager who promised a call back yesterday but forgot. I had a 9 AM appointment Monday morning and they haven't looked at the car yet this week. 35 days sitting at the dealer lot and almost 2 months total of issues.
Just my experience with recent Stellantis (Dodge and RAM, not Jeep) vs recent Ford:
2026 Ford Mustang Dark Horse = My toy, has sat in the dealer parking lot for warranty work the past 2 months, feels cheap AF with the issues it has, but wasn't cheap to buy.
2022 RAM TRX = My daily for the last...
Dropped it back off at the dealership for more warranty work. Had a 9AM "appointment" and didn't even get an update at all today. Looking at the Ford app periodically, the only thing they did was move it from their service entry to their parking lot.
Dropped the car back off at the dealership today for my 9AM "appointment" since the motor mounts came in. Haven't heard anything from them at all today, no update. I can tell by looking at the Ford app periodically that all they have done is move the car from their service entry port to their...
Most V8s, some V10s (although not a fan of the Viper's) and a lot of V12s sound great to me. Never heard a 4 or 6 I liked the sound of, not saying they can't or don't make power, just the noise isn't for me.
For me, the sound is a HUGE part of the driving experience. Like having a GREAT score/soundtrack for a movie. I think right now, AWD V8 hybrids are the sweet spot, I'm not against certain tech nor complexity if it WORKS.
Which is my biggest complaint against EVs, there is no score/soundtrack...
My 4 door sedan driving days are over, but I won't consider a vehicle without a V8 option. I have the TRX for hauling stuff and people and it's been AWESOME to me. It's my daily, hopefully for a long time.
What I need now is something smaller and fun in a different way. I bought the DH for...
They still haven't been able to fix this, and it makes the car feel cheap AF. It also sat out in the high 90 degree sun in their lot for over a month and now has squeaks (likely from all the plastic heating up and cooling down so much) and developed some new vibration at highway speeds that...
Can't believe I'm actually saying this, but I just don't care about it. It's ugly and with Ford's current quality, nothing they sell is worth the price right now. Only been able to drive my car once in 2 months because of their BS. Missed most of the summer events.
They let me bring the car home today because they think the motor mounts MIGHT be there next week, but don't really know. I'll take it back in when they receive them.
A couple new things on the drive home. The passenger side door now rattles and squeaks pretty loud, it didn't do that before...
Emailed the Texas DMV about possibly having my car bought back by Ford under the Lemon Law. It's been sitting in the dealer parking lot for 30 days now waiting on supposedly back ordered motor mounts with no ETA in sight.
I'd like to see something more along the lines of the previous generation Chargers, by that I mean an aggressive styling and solid performance. A Fusion is way too bland, especially if they are even considering slapping the Mustang name on it.
I think a hybrid V8 awd 4 door sedan could be an amazing car for Ford. However calling it a Mustang is not right and I'll be 100% honest... I do NOT trust Ford to build anything right now. Their quality is in the dumps.
My experience with AM has been good for almost everything. The exception has been a wheel/tire package for one of my older Mustangs that was an absolute nightmare of issue after issue.
