Yeah, that's what I thought as well. It seemed excessive and looked like it was bending the top opening inward a bit (directions say to tighten bottom screws first, so all of the opening is at the top).... I assumed to leave them in because I hadn't seen them (bushings) mentioned at all...

It's nothing at all like a press fit, it's a clamp, lol. BlendMount says the bushings should be removed from the clamping surfaces to ensure that it is clamped with sufficient force to ensure it won't potentially deflect/stretch over time. Strangely, they did not recommend "slapping blue...

Assuming you left the bushings in when you installed it? Do you recall whether yours closed all the way?

It'll bolt on, the HP has a filler piece that goes between the HP splitter and the undertray that will have to be removed. There are several videos on YT of people upgrading to an HP splitter that show the removal of the base splitter and install of the HP splitter, you're just looking to do it...

Did you remove the vent/surround surround piece or did you just pry it off with it on?

Another option would be to find a 25 DH somewhere, Ford is offering $3500 rebates on them currently, I upgraded from my 25 GT to a 25 DH last week and got the DH for ~$12k off MSRP.
