Their job is to deflect air from under the car. The area that mounts to the car is hard plastic but the deflectors themselves are rubber and will āfold or bendā if they come into contact with anything.
Still plug and play, it plugs in to RTR harness and main harness on driver side. Fairly easy install, just time consuming. Took me about 3 1/2 hours start to finish. Directions are clear and straightforward.
Unfortunately, they donāt ship with the extra harness. I called RTR and spoke with Jim, he sent it out and I had it in three days. Like you, I didnāt want the hassle of R&Rāing the grille of mine had that issue. Call them, theyāll send it. Better safe than sorry.
Looks good! I installed mine this past Saturday, I used the additional harness RTR sent. I didnāt want to take it apart if I was one of the ones with an issue. So far, so good and everything works as it should. I especially like the emergency flashers pattern.
Yeah, itās very annoying they advertise it as a B&zone sound system when in reality the start up display tells the truth, Sound system designed by B&O. When I upgraded mine the crap speakers were stamped Ford on the crappy magnet. I donāt know what they designed, maybe Ford just paid them to use...
So, installed the grille today and the additional harness RTR sent. So far no issues and everything works as it should. The hazard lights have a very unique pattern, kinda cool.
My dealership sold my first 24 for 46k, it was a GT premium PP with magneride and active exhaust. It listed at just over 60k when I ordered it. To be fair it did have paint work done on it from shipping damage and 4500 miles by the time I traded it in for the replacement car.
Totally agree. I was just reading over the installation instructions and it says they are for a Mustang GT Performance Pack 3, anyone know what the PP3 is? I have a fully loaded PP but Iāve not heard of any of them called the PP3.
Ok, so I just got off the phone with Jim from RTR. He was very helpful and answered all of my questions. They will be sending me the harness to remedy a problem that may or may not occur with my install within a few days. I'm glad I called and got it straightened out, I'll just wait until the...
Did you receive an updated harness? I just received my grille today and am now on the fence as to whether I should install it. I returned the one I bought in December in early January. When I returned it I was told they would have a harness in the next couple of weeks to correct the problem. I...
Iāve noticed that when I did upgrades to my 24ās sound system the speakers are stamped with the Ford logo, leading me to believe just what the screen says on start upā¦.āsound system designed by B&Oā meaning that Ford donāt use B&O hardware just the name. š
So, adding the dynamat to the enclosure and removing the factory grille is definitely an improvement. Now it sounds as it should, without the flexing and popping at high volumes. It hits hard enough you feel it through the seats.
