  1. Are there any deals to be had on Dark Horses?

That's just it; having felt the Tremec I'd never enjoy the MT82 knowing it was only a few thousand dollars' difference; I'd spend at least that much on short shift kits to try to bring tne MT82 closer to the Tremec throws.
  2. Are there any deals to be had on Dark Horses?

Really? How do you get a Tremec in a GT? How do you save $20K when MSRP for a GT configured like what comes standard on a DH is just a few thousand dollars less?
  3. Out of curiosity, what do you think happened to the side trim here?

My local dealer has a GT on their lot where the front part of the trim behind the driver side front wheel that runs under the door was loose previously, and it looks like in the past three weeks ago it's been somehow torn off even more. Before there was just one fastener on the bottom that...
  4. Are there any deals to be had on Dark Horses?

I've never seen more than $2000 off on a 2026 DH; they're quite rare and cannot be easily ordered if you want one before the 2027 model year. If you're willing to take delivery of one sitting on a dealer lot, availability is a little bit better.
  5. Dark Horse Spoiler price from Ford dealer parts: $8,174.19 🤣😳

Well see, there you go, a great reason to upgrade to the DH when purchasing, and then the Tremec is free! 🤪
  6. How much would you be willing to lose to buy a DH?

It's actually why I started this entire thread; I intend to keep whichever vehicle I keep for at least the next 15 years or until I'm in a pine box, whichever comes first, which is why all the hand wringing about which one. 🤷‍♂️
  7. How much would you be willing to lose to buy a DH?

I'm not bemoaning the price hit, just acknowledging it.
  8. How much would you be willing to lose to buy a DH?

Indeed they are, right along with being able to purchase any $75K car in the first place.
  9. Selling my 2025 DH and the market is in the tank

That’s that particular dealer. Not all Porsche dealers are like Ferrari, requiring you to purchase X new ones before you can order a new hot model. The bottom line is to lose 10K - 15K in value after driving a new car in the $70K price range off the lot is more or less normal for the car...
  10. Selling my 2025 DH and the market is in the tank

Most Porsche dealers have no 911s on their lots, they're all Cayennes, Macans and Taycans. They are, and it's normal for most any car. Unless it's a collectible model, if you drive a $125K Porsche off the lot and turn around and sell it as used ten minutes later you would be lucky to get $100K.
  11. How much would you be willing to lose to buy a DH?

Not upside down, just a realization of the money lost in the transaction when you sell a $73K car a month later for $65K then get another $73K car plus you get to pay another $6K in sales taxes.
  12. Selling my 2025 DH and the market is in the tank

Honestly if you've never looked into it, you probably don't know. I mentioned previously, it's all vehicles - new 2026 BMW M2 is worth about $11K less than it sold for if you drive it back into the dealership immediately after driving away.
  13. Selling my 2025 DH and the market is in the tank

But not with any regularity; most of us wouldn't consider five or ten miles once every three to four years to be "driving" them.
  14. Selling my 2025 DH and the market is in the tank

Yet if you look at Jay's collection, the vast majority never see the road except perhaps once to make a drive video. 🤷‍♂️
  15. How much would you be willing to lose to buy a DH?

Honestly, if you could get the Tremec in the GT I wouldn't even be considering the DH.
  16. How much would you be willing to lose to buy a DH?

Why didn't I think of that? :cwl:
  17. How much would you be willing to lose to buy a DH?

Just a GT, not even Premium and no PP. I've never driven a DH, just played with the shifter in one; no dealer near me has one available. What would be the biggest differences in your mind? Performance in curves? Body lean? Power?
  18. How much would you be willing to lose to buy a DH?

Good news is that I test drove a GT today and really, it didn't handle all that much worse than the M2, but I noticed that for all the exhaust sound and drama you really didn't have a lot of power down low, you really needed to (exceed break-in recommended RPMs) to feel the power come on...
  19. Selling my 2025 DH and the market is in the tank

Note, however, if you're going to make the argument that the name "Mustang" is key, Ford has already thrown that out the window by attaching it and the logo to the Mach-E; there's no Corvette EV SUV. But look at Porsche; despite them still making sports cars, if you go to most dealers there are...
