Just what we need - not! :lipssealed:
FYI
An interesting article.
I have a feeling our first arrival cars will not ship until January once the Christmas rush has finished, where container ships have priority. It's typically a ~ 45 day sail from Baltimore, so end of March/early April... and...
Is it safe to assume (there's that word again!) that our standard wheels will NOT be black?
Standard S550 wheels were black with 19" Luster Nickel forged wheels as a $2500 option.
(and possibly others - I can't remember what other wheel options there were.)
From the limited information we...
Immediately below is a compilation of Mustang aftermarket parts suppliers located here in Australia, where Melbourne appears to be the capital of parts suppliers!
Further down, and with the help of DFB5.0, you will find a list of Australian-based detailing suppliers.

This list...
Wouldn't need much range on their EVs either.
Plenty of sun, so charging them during the day won't be a problem either.
But I don't think Christmas Island is large enough to accommodate all the Utopia seeking nutters.
Yeah, and those expired EV batteries, most of which end up in landfill.
Can't wait to see Adam Bandt's face when that reality sinks in.
Don't get me wrong, I'm quite happy for other people to buy EVs.
I have a reasonable holding in Pilbara Minerals, Australia's largest lithium miner.
Ka ching...
Will be interesting to see if our vehicles are actually equiped with the strut tower brace and drift brake handle.
What else can Ford strip out of the US Premium variant to keep their costs down when supplying a foreign market that has a crap exchange rate?
It would not surprise me one iota if...
Unfortunately, this is nothing new.
It will be really disappointing if our "all new" RHD S650s get the same old LHD layout.
If you're getting an auto it won't bother you, but for those of us getting a manual I hate it.
Good news!
I contacted Viofo here in Australia today, asking when we might expect the rumored A229 Pro.
I'd expect this model to be available in North America etc around the same time.
Game changer!!!
I'm not surprised
They're too damn expensive.
I can never do the poverty pack, so $100k for the mid-range model?
Nope, not ever.
And I can't see anyone with a mortgage (mid 30's - early 50's) spending that much on a car that will last ~10 years.
Maybe a pair of DINK executives that foolishly...
LOL
How about this?
Round up all the Greenies and loony left, and turn Tasmania into a "Green Utopia Colony" for them.
Let's call the state Hypocrite Isle.
Put Dan the Man and Adam Bandt in charge to run the joint, and Tassie can be clean and green as much they like. All their EV charging...

We saw pictures of a yellow splash S650 in the streets of Melbourne, but that was back in mid May.

Not loving the centre console. :frown:
How hard or expensive could it possibly be to fit a properly mirrored centre...
Please remember the S550 was the first Mustang to come out of the factory in RHD, so that's probably not a 100% apples-for-apples comparison. The S550 was probably better deserving of the title "All-new".
And with all the bugs that comes along with that.
But to answer your question, there was...
Both are related.
If the quarantined vehicles cannot be offloaded, RORO vessels are delayed which has snowballing affects with their schedules.
Earlier this year there was a major backlog because of suspected stinkbug contamination.
Once leaving Baltimore, it's Auckland then Brisbane is...
Yeah, the "Dutch Oven" (LOL) as John Cadogan calls it.
and so on.
My feelings for EVs are exactly the same.
We're not quite ready for mass adoption.
And Lithium Ion batteries?
They're just bad news, and shipping these potential uncontrollable infernos is just the tip of the iceberg.
