Yes, that is why was questioning why I should pay probably 10-12K more for a DH than GT (even though I prefer the DH interior). As you mentioned with the Mach 1, they leave some important components out and sell it for the same price. Someone can argue about rules and regulations in Europe, but...
Another thing which I don't understand: How can Ford start selling a car of which we don't know any numbers apart from torque and bhp? This is really beyond me...
From the jurisdication point of view yes, all other european countries have speed limits. I just came from France and Spain and also saw some drivers well beyond 150kmh.
But even 0-100kmh is not as easy as it seems and I am definitely not someone who is trying to do that in the city which is...
Some time ago there was the 59th annual birthday event in UK where the DH was shown. It was a european model and there you can clearly see that it is a DH light when it comes to these aero parts of the car and I am pretty sure this will be the production car in a few months time for us Europeans.
0-100 kmh is irrelevant because you will never perform that except you are total bellend at traffic lights and show off your small cohones.
What's more interesting especially on our beloved Autobahn is 100-200kmh. That is were the true power unfolds....
I am going for the AT so Tremec isn't a option for me. GT also has oil coolers and the magne ride suspension on paper is more or less the same. I am never on track, so at GT is more of an option for me whereas I have to say I like the dark bezels of the DH in the interior.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter for us Europeans since we will not get the handling package, the unqique weels or the gurney flap. So what is the point then to get a DH over a GT apart from a minor different look from the front, a few blue elements and stiches in the interior and 20 BHP...
Another thing that I noticed especially in this video. Everything in the car looks "greyish" and the only black element are the screens. This really pops out. Maybe it is also a light topic, but the contrast is quite big.
Damn, that sucks. Ford at its best, yet again. Promoting the DH to the high heavens and then screwing up and let people wait for months or years. Pathetic.
Yeah maybe the nerds and experts could really tell a small difference but for the majority it is the same, especially when you put in on track. Since you have a dezibel limitation in Europe, a louder exhaust wouldn't benefit at all lol
I don't like:
- the front: That light looks weird and too playful imo
- the ducktail: Looks like a ramp lol
- the single exhaust pipe on each side
I like:
- the rims
- Side marks/stripes or whatevever that is
