dont think so cot protection purposely dumps more fuel in to cool the cats at wot leaner is hotter richer is cooler yes cats heat up from fuel but more heat is coming from combustion at wot with boost that cooks them extra fuel is needed to cool them

Good to know there is a theory out there if people use e30 it kills them fast as the 55lb injectors have enough to be safe the engine but not enough for cat over temp protection enrichment so they melt

they dont do the sniffer on cars 1996 and newer they trust the all knowing computer

if you have hp tuners its not just make sure to set it to no error reported for all the cat codes before you take them off and the test will always pass not that i would have ever done that🤣 the only place this does not work is CA and maybe MA as they check the ecu checksum all other states...

they likely forgot to reset the oil life make it a habit to reset the monitor or check it after you get the oil changed in case they do not do it to avoid this or just change your own oil its only 19 bolts to undo the under panel
