  1. Trade-In Value on Mustang Purchase

KBB what? Trade In, Fair Purchase Price, Auction Value, Instant Offer? You are either eligible for a rebate or not. A dealer can't just award them to you.
  2. Trade-In Value on Mustang Purchase

That's how those people on "Hoarders" start out. I'm not the OP but I keep one pickup, one SUV, one convertible and one motorcycle...no more, no less. Well maybe a second motorcycle and maybe a dedicated track/project car but I'll need to build a 40 x 60 pole barn and I may as well build it 80...
  3. Trade-In Value on Mustang Purchase

If you fully negotiate a price on the new one and then afterwards, and ony afterwards, separately ask about a trade and they give you a great price, you are one in a million. It doesn't make them bad people any more than Ford management are bad people because the Mustang GT isn't all new with...
  4. Challenger or S650

All this gushing over reasons one is so much better than the other simply points out that they are two different vehicles and what you prefer will depend on your tastes and priorities. I wanted manual V8 convertible this time. Last time around I wanted a German car and before that it was...
  5. Trade-In Value on Mustang Purchase

Yes, and that's why I mentioned that you need to consider the offset of reduced tax...but it's just another number in the equation and is not the same in every state. Figure out the sales/excise tax savings and add it to the dealer trade offer. Compare that to what other options you have...
  6. K&N Intake Kit for 2024+ Mustang GT now available

I think what's a bit cloudy is...were any of those previous test cars a 2024 Mustang? Improved flow is only valuable if stock flow is a bottleneck.
  7. Anyone know the torque numbers for these bolts (don't know what they're called)

Take one all the way out and see what metric thread size they have. Match up the markings to see what grade/ class they are. Grab a chart from the internet. I suspect they are grade 5 and 8mm? If that's the case maybe 20 ft lbs?
  8. Trade-In Value on Mustang Purchase

Definitely get carvana and all the others. Selling yourself, for those that have the stomach for it, will likely bring highest price. Dealer trade will nost likely be lowest. They buy cars at wholesale price. If carvana or someone else is higher (and they likely will be), sell to them...
  9. High end Ford floor mats?

    So it cost $210 + $100.
  10. S650 owners, how many miles already?

I don't have my 24 yet, but my first new Mustang was an 85 GT manual, last of the carburated Mustangs...I did 38,000 in 14 months and sold it because baby seat.
  11. Does S650 have cylinder deactivation?

    GM service manual...about the manual.
  12. Does S650 have cylinder deactivation?

Maybe we should start a poll and see if it's just me. I dare you.
  13. Does S650 have cylinder deactivation?

I didn't say you couldn't post. Just suggesting you look less foolish if you did less of it.
  14. Does S650 have cylinder deactivation?

Yes, but nobody asked about automatic transmissions. ThreePedalPlow asked about the manual, you "reacted" with a laughyface and went on to tell him it wasn't a thing with a manual.
  15. 2024 mustang the problem with expectations

It's fun watching people trying to out-stupid each other.
  16. Does S650 have cylinder deactivation?

I never head anyone call what an auto does "skip shift" but yes many are programed to skip a gear, both up and downshifting. The Corvette manual from a decade ago had this: One to Four Shift Light (Manual Transmission) - When this light comes on, you can only shift from FIRST (1) to FOURTH...
  17. 2024 mustang the problem with expectations

Yes, and I get that purists will say the Mustang..and the 911 for that matter...are not sports cars. But it's such a stupid and pedantic argument. The term, right or wrong, is used to describe almost any relatively low slung, remotely performance oriented car today.
  18. 2024 mustang the problem with expectations

So what exactly class of car do you put RWD V8 2 door cars in? Nobody is calling it a supercar or a GT3 beater...of course it's a sports car and it isn't Ford that decides.
  19. Dark Horse poorly received??

The direct competitors are leaving because it is a shrinking market segment. Mustang has had the lions share of the segment for many years but it is a small slice of the overall pie and shrinking steadily. Selling 10,000 specialty go-fast Mustangs instead of 3,000 annually wouldn't even...
  20. Dark Horse poorly received??

Yes, we're all well aware of your "thoughts". Ford is trying to act like a business and as a shareholder I support that. What makes you think they are not selling as many as they planned? I don't know why you are here at all honestly. We get it..touch screens bad...not really all...
