  1. 401a Package vs 400

I personally like the s650 interior. I suspect the s550 will look dated soon.
  2. Smaller Diameter Tires to Boost Final Ratio

Yes, main reason would be to increase the force to the ground and up the effective torque. Ideally, the Tremec + 3.73 would be better but then its the Dark Hor$e
  3. Smaller Diameter Tires to Boost Final Ratio

Why not just get the PP? $5000 Tries supplied are not really "performance" Wheels not very nice, quite skinny, and heavy "Drift" brake is a gimmick (to me) Don't want a rear wing - prefer the clean look Missing out on the front springs + K-brace (don't seem expensive to add) Already got the...
  4. Smaller Diameter Tires to Boost Final Ratio

Speedo will be off by a few MPH, not the end of the world. 70mph on the speedo will be 67mph in reality. Acceleration should be more aggressive in all gear instead.
  5. Smaller Diameter Tires to Boost Final Ratio

Car is lowered 0.6 inches. Braking should be better. Rotational inertia decreased in tires. Smaller sidewall will feel bumps a bit more. Fuel economy will suffer.
  6. Smaller Diameter Tires to Boost Final Ratio

    4.5 inches less per roation.
  7. Smaller Diameter Tires to Boost Final Ratio

Drove the 3.73 Mach1 and it didn't feel snappy. Below 3500 rpm, it could be any regular car and really comes to life 4500 and up. I see folks with the S550 switching to 4.09 gears.
  8. Smaller Diameter Tires to Boost Final Ratio

Swapping out the rear axle is a pain and a couple of local mechanics said they wont touch it as it will void the warranty and they don't want to be liable. I would want the warranty myself.
  9. Smaller Diameter Tires to Boost Final Ratio

The dark horse on the other hand with shorter 315 30 tires and 3.73 Has an effective ratio of 3.81
  10. Smaller Diameter Tires to Boost Final Ratio

The PP tires is actually larger than the stock rear tire and lowers the final ratio a bit. PP rear tire 275 40 PP effective ratio is = 3.65 compared to stock
  11. Smaller Diameter Tires to Boost Final Ratio

Looking at the MT82 vs Tremec ratios, its unfortunate that the gears are taller in with MT-82. Ordered the manual non-PP GT with 3.55 gears with the Brembos. Besides the fender gap (that can be lowered and speedo) would it be a bad idea to get smaller diameter tires? Stock = 255-40 with 3.55...
  12. 401a Package vs 400

Agreed, value is good. If its DH money, I'll probably go for the C8. Too bad no manual there.
  13. 401a Package vs 400

Interestingly, the E39 m5 was very similar to the mustang. 5.0 v8, 6speed manual. Slightly less power, Slightly less weight. The interior was nice but not groundbreaking. The audi R8 exclusive package had a beautiful interior! At the end of the day, its a Ford. No one expects a Bentley...
  14. 401a Package vs 400

The assist+ and adaptive cruise are useful, I got those together with the BnO. Called the dealer to see if changing the order would delay it at this point. Its been a couple of weeks. Having had a bunch of BMWs, including the e39 M5, I think the new ones looks hideous. That 6sp manual was one...
  15. 401a Package vs 400

Perhaps we should start another thread for Mustang vs BMW interior. The question was to determine exactly what the difference is in the trim between the 400 and 401. If nothing significant, that extra can go towards something else like a set wheels, tires, etc...
  16. 401a Package vs 400

Thanks Shoot, I'll see if I can change my order.
  17. 401a Package vs 400

I understand that. But is the regular 400a leather wrapped or plastic?
  18. 401a Package vs 400

I'm hoping the GT "premium" DOES have a leather wrapped, soft touch, dash and center console and don't mind if the stitching isn't color matched. Also, not a big fan of that stripped seatbelt.
  19. 401a Package vs 400

I'm guessing this the GT premium with 401a
