Said everyone ever twenty years ago. You don't know as much as you think you do. Wranglers were always known and popular for two doors and short wheelbases for climbing/crawling and off road capabilities. Every person in the off road community knows this.

I don't think anyone knows anything yet. But if they share all these parts and looks just like an s650 and called it something else, I'd feel like it'd be a slap in the face to mustang owners, way moreso than calling it a mustang. I felt that way when the fusion resembled an s550 back in the day.

I think the main reason they would call it a mustang is because they can share parts. Same interior, infotainment, front end, some body panels, undercarriage parts etc to reduce costs. I think it'd get expensive to build something from the ground up. This will reduce costs on both the 2 door and...

It referred to a truck because that's all there was. The four full size door truck is a relatively new thing. And what about the Wrangler. And bronco? I see you ignored those massive successes. The Mustang will be like the Bronco and Wrangler and pickup truck and new Charger. 2 door/4 door.

Pickup used to mean two door truck with a bed. That's why there's no word for a four door pickup like there is for coupe and sedan. If that's what you're arguing about... F150 has 2/4 door, bronco has 2/4 door, wrangler has 2/4 door. People complained at the beginning, and now they're staples.

Two Wrangler, four door wrangler.. massive success. Two door f150, four door f150.. massive success. Two door bronco, four door bronco... Massive success. They all made the same exact vehicle, but two extra doors. If Ford can do that, it's a mustang.

Worked out pretty good for the f150, wrangler, and bronco. And fans of those vehicles complained at first. But they're massive successes.

Back then a truck meant two door.
